"Stayed here for a work trip and got a nice piece of the Maui life. Beautiful, secluded beach that wasn't crowded, great restaurant/bar/pool downstairs, amazing morning views to wake up to, close to great snorkeling spots further south and a central location to get anywhere else on the island. Can't wait to go back and stay here again! The place itself was nicely updated and comfortable for our needs.
I would add that we went all over the island, and this was our favorite area. Ka'anapali is too resort-y with hotels and beaches packed with tourists and giant Vegas-style amenities. Lahaina was a cool part of Maui and fun to walk around and shop/eat. But Kihei had the best mix of everything and makes it easy to go any direction (Haleakala Volcano, Hana, Lahaina, Paia, south past Wailea, anywhere!)"
