  • Maui Kamaole F101 - Could Use Fixing But Overall Pleasant Experience.

"The property layout was nice with many condo buildings grouped by letter (flowers.) The after-hours check-in was easy and fast. It shows organization. Each bit of the property was clean and decorated with plants and trees. Good quality concrete and structure to show constant upkeep, style, and safety. The condo itself looked good and clean. The condo however could use a little work. Upon entry, the kitchen countertops were not wiped down well, sort of sticky at first. One of the hallway lights wasnt working. The standing floor lamps in the bedroom and living room were a joke. One wasnt working at all, and both had lampshades that didnt want to stay on the stand. Both ceiling fans in the bedroom and living room worked well enough. The washer and dryer worked. The freezer and fridge were clean and functional (thanks for leaving half a can of coffee in the freezer.) Many general bowls, plates, cups, and utensils in the kitchen. The floors and carpets were clean (except for one wierd yellow stain in the living room but didnt bother us. We had our keys stolen and had one lock-out. Daniel (after hours), Marty (regular hours manager) and Karen (property manager) were all nice and very helpful to keep our vacation experience going. Big thanks to them. It was a nice place overall, just needs some work and better cleaning."

  • Perfect for our active family of 4...

"I've only ever stayed at the Maui Kamaole when visiting Maui because I love the low-key and quiet vibe of the complex. This is by far one of the better condos I've had the pleasure of making my home base, and Stanley was far and away the easiest and most responsive owner I've rented from. He truly made the entire experience seamless and absolutely joyful. This is an older property and quite understandably constantly booked, so there is some wear-and-tear within the condo itself. That being said, it made for a very comfortable and casual living space for my rambunctious 11-year old and teenager. It comes stocked with anything and everything you could possibly need, from all of the cooking items in the kitchen to the boogie boards/snorkel gear/beach bags and coolers in the lanai closet. And can we talk about the lanai?? That view!! We spent every sunrise just drinking coffee and watching the west Maui mountains and ocean softly light up, and dinner outside with the amazing Maui sunsets as our constant company. (I'm yearning for it all again!). The afternoon trade winds meant we could just open up the sliders and leave the ceiling fans running and stay quite cool. For the afternoons when we needed a little more, the AC units in both bedrooms and the main living area worked like a charm. The master suite is absolutely beautiful - one of the most comfy beds I've slept on, and the huge tiled shower was a bonus! If you're planning on only staying in Kihei and choosing to not rent a car, know that you're well situated to walk to one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, Keawakapu, and well within a ten minute walk of restaurants, grocery and sundry stores, and ice cream and shave ice. However, having a car means you can make the ten to twenty minute drive to some of the best beaches Maui has to offer, in the Makena area. Highly recommend Coconut's Fish Cafe in North Kihei, Maui Taco across from Kam III, and Outrigger Pizza (a mobile food truck) for lunch or dinner, Kihei Caffe for breakfast (ignore the long line - they get you through quickly and it's totally worth it), Lappert's in the Shops at Wailea for island-style ice cream, and Surfing Monkey Shave Ice (several locations) for dessert. We had the most epic vacation and this condo was one of the reasons it was all so easy and comfortable. Highly recommend staying here, and will have no hesitation in booking it again for our next family vacation. Mahalo Stanley and Stefan!"

  • Very comfortable 1 bedroom condo with lanai perfect for watching the sun sets.

"We were pleasantly delighted with this condo. First impression was with the comfortable furnishings and the stunning view from the lanai. We watched many beautiful sunsets from there. The ceiling fans in both the living room and bedroom helped keep it comfortable. We didn't do much cooking, but the basics were there and in working order. Nice bonus was the closet with some good beach-going equipment: chairs, umbrella, cooler, and various beach toys for the young and young at heart. Location was handy for the beach."
