  • The perfect condo....

"My mom (age 55) and I (age 30) stayed in this condo for 10 nights. When we were on the plane, I opened up the VRBO page to show my mom the photos and panicked when I saw the most recent review. I can whole-heartedly say that the poor review could not have been more wrong. This condo is AMAZING. When we first walked in, the condo was obviously impeccably clean and well-kept. I was also pleasantly surprised by how much of the ocean you could see from the lanai. Usually "peek-a-boo views" are pretty minimal, but I felt you had a great view. The location of the condo was perfect - easy access to the main pool, which has recently been redone and easy access to the beach. The complex is quiet and very well-maintained. The condo had everything we needed for any enjoyable vacation - beach chairs, boogie board, fully stocked kitchen, a safe for our valuables, reliable wifi, free calling home to Canada, two good sized bathrooms (good for two women travelling together), and so much more. The mattress was very soft and we loved this; we had never slept better. I've stayed in various VRBO condos in Kihei and this was by far the best. The condo is even nicer than the photos. I feel badly that the most recent review prevents this place from having five stars. I know many people only book places with five stars. I have used VRBO a lot (in Maui and elsewhere) and can say that this place is five stars in every way. I would recommend this place to anyone. It's clean, safe, quiet, comfortable, and in a perfect location... You can't ask for better."

  • Maui Vacation

"The unit does have a great view of the ocean, however travel noise from the road does impact visiting on the lanai. With only AC in the bedrooms, it was extremely warm in the downstairs living/kitchen area even when we left the door open at night with both fans running. We were comfortable in the bedrooms at night, but very uncomfortable in the living space due to no AC. Perhaps we would stay in this unit during the winter months, but not in the summer!"

  • We have a lovely stay!

"We stayed 10 nights here with our daughter and her two sons, and everything went perfectly. The condo is well- outfitted with everything you could possibly need, and more! The beds are very comfortable, the kitchen is beautiful and includes plenty of dishes, pots and pans, utensils, and even spices. Our grandsons loved the toys and videos, and we really appreciated having the beach chairs, boogie boards, coolers, and snorkel gear right there! Oh, and the beach towels, too -- I brought a couple just in case, but Judy has lots of them there already. Just wash them and put them back when you're finished with them. The property itself is lovely, and this unit is in a quiet building, close to the pool. There are two lanais with a great view of the pool area and a side view of the beach. It was very hot and muggy at times during our trip, so the bedroom air conditioning really was a blessing! This is a great place for families. Our little guys loved it and the adults did, too. I highly recommend this property and really thank Judy for her hospitality!"

  • Mana Kai 215C ...

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: this is our second stay in this condo. (previous stay sept 2012) we LOVE the Mana Kai. sleeping and waking to the sound of the waves is priceless. our friends stayed a few floors directly above us, and yes their more expensive condo had upgrades and was fancier all around... but guess what, we all congregated in our condo anyway. we love having coffee on the lanai and watching the tourist and locals alike, wander in to start their day at the beach. if you are a light sleeper, yes the parking lots sounds might be an issue, but we were so dog tired it wasn't a problem for us. the only noise issue we had was with the leaf blower guy on the huge lawn. after watching him chase the same leaves around for 'two hours' (no exaggeration, it was two solid hours and would be funny if not for the noise) we concluded he must be getting paid by the hour. someone must have complained as he was sporting a rake the rest of our time there. i would like to give kudos to the maui condo & car staff. they are the best. professional, courteous and available seven days a week. a rare find in maui my friends. we had a smoke detector beeping and they got the job done. this condo is an excellent value. if you prefer fancier digs then perhaps for the same money you can stay across the street. but for a week's stay directly on keawakapu beach, 215C rocks. beach chairs, ice chests and beach towels provided. can't wait to come back. huge thanks!!!"
