  • Above and Beyond!

"We had a wonderful 8 night stay at Joe and Karen's condo. It was an excellent, affordable option for staying on Maui. The condo was clean and set up to be accommodating as it could be. They also had helpful extras like beach chairs, beach towels and umbrellas along with a location that can't be beat! I would recommend staying here!"

  • Another Perfect trip to Maui

"We have stayed at 7 different units at Hale Hui Kai, Unit 309 was the best yet. This unit has a perfect sunset view from the deck, well stocked kitchen, comfortable living space and beds. Having A/C plus a washer and dryer was an added bonus. The layout of this unit makes the bed rooms much quieter than all the others units. There is plenty of snorkeling gear to choose from with a great reef 50 feet away on Keawakapu Beach, the best beach on Maui. Cindy and John were great to work with and Cindy even called to make sure we were settled in and had everything we needed. Great service and a Great unit made this another perfect vacation on Maui. We will be back in 2017. Mahalo"

  • Quiet, peaceful and easy.

"We just returned from our Thanksgiving trip to Maui and our stay in this unit This unit is set on the 2nd floor at the back of the complex. When you're looking at maps online it doesn't serve it well because it was an easy, quick walk to Kam III beach. There is a sidewalk througout the property that allows you to walk the whole way and not be in the road. Being set back on the property you don't get the road noise as it is pretty constant traffic. Spending mornings on the lanai with our coffee, we could hear the ocean waves and there are peekaboo views of water. The unit has its own dedicated parking spot only a few steps down the walkway from the entrance. Again, no parking lot noise but easy access. There is a pool area with a fantastic sand bottom hot tub just at the base of this unit. The bedrooms of this condo are at the back of the unit so we were a bit concerned that there would be pool noise however the pool closes at 9 and the gates are locked so unless someone jumps the fence, there is no pool or hot tubbers being disruptive late in the evening. There are ample gas grilling areas around this unit and throughout the complex. We used the pool area for its proximity, the seating area for eating and visiting with neighbor travelers. Was quite nice. The grounds were the primary reason we chose this complex of all the others along this strip of road. So many of the others are drab, concrete buildings while this is LUSH and truly the Hawaiian experience with the flowers, fruit and native birds. The description of the unit and the supplied cooking, eating supplies and all the beach gear is accurate, understated and definitely reliable. And that master bed is more comfortable than my own at home! Unbelievable. This was my first VRBO experience so I was cautiously optimistic about the entire experience. Doug was very responsive to our questions and so generously gracious with our requests. I would not hesitate to work with him and stay here again!"

  • An outstanding week, as always.

"We were two senior couples and this was our second time in this condo. We have stayed several times at this complex. Can't beat the great beaches, across the street for a twice daily swim. The condo was very nice and clean with tons of extras. Will definitely be back several times. The beach gear and coolers came in quite handy."
