  • By far the best vacation spot!

"Our family of four stayed here for 10 nights in early September 2016. It was the perfect spot. Close enough to Kihei but not so close that your right in the middle of the hustle and bustle. The condo complex is set back and is peaceful and quiet, and not to mention beautiful. This unit has a great view from the Lanai also. We brought our 3yr. old daughter with us, so the beach toys were very much appreciated, and so was the DVD player in the bed room. We were told there was a stroller in the unit, but there wasn't, no big deal though, we purchased one at Kmart for $20. We needed it for our morning walks to the beach where we drank our coffee and let the little one play for a while. You will also find everything you need in the Kitchen! Bathrooms are also stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and hair dryers. There are three AC units in the condo however we mostly used the overhead fans and opened the doors to let the trade winds into the unit. It was perfect! This was the second time we booked a condo through Misty. She is very helpful and responsive. She does her best to make your schedule work with hers, and if it doesn't she makes great recommendations. This unit will be on my list to return to for sure!"

  • Excellent Stay - affordable accommodations

"Our stay was excellent and what we expected. Description and pictures accurate. I would recommend this unit to anyway looking for an affordable accommodations at a great complex and conveniently located. Pros: clean, great location, owner Roy easy to work with, price, BBQ close, pool, electronic key entry convenient, safe included. Cons: beach equipment was plentiful but well used, the street noise is noticeable (but, during the day it is not a problem, it was only noticeable because I slept with my young daughter on the hide a bed and I'm a light sleeper, only noticeable around 1230 am and then at 7 am). We would stay at this unit again."

  • Comfortable cottage in peaceful area with easy access to rest of the island

"Grace Cottage is located in a perfect spot to explore all of Maui. You are in a quiet residential neighborhood between highway 31 and the main beachfront strip (S. Kihei Rd.) where you will find dining, stores and anything else you need. The neighborhood is so peaceful. Sitting on the lanai for meals or just relaxing was a major highlight. The outdoor shower (with full privacy) was a huge plus. The second bed is a futon but this is a perfect cottage for a couple. We wouldn't recommend walking to the beaches with gear as it'll take you about 20 minutes but you're just a couple minute drive away from free parking at multiple beaches. Better yet, drive north on Kihei Rd. past the condos, park on the side of the road and find your own stretch of beach. This is the perfect place to stay if you want to relax with access to everything without feeling like you're staying in the middle of everything."

  • Kihei Surfside

"My wife and I enjoyed our honeymoon stay at Kihei Surfside so much, we returned 7 years later for another vacation. I'm wondering why we waited so long! I'll start with the only downside: there's no A/C in this building. On days when the winds are blowing in off the water, this isn't that much of a problem. But when the air is still and hot, opening windows/doors at opposite ends of the unit doesn't do much good, and one begins to baste in his/her own juices. Other than that, there is no downside. In our experience, Kihei tends to cool down at night enough to get a good night's rest, and if you're vacationing on Maui, what're you doing in your room during the day anyway - go sightsee, go lay on the beach, go diving, etc... ! Not to say that the rooms are anything but comfy and NICE. The ocean view smacks you in the face as soon as you open the door - which as far as I'm concerned is the #1 draw of the whole building. Units farther to the left (as you face the front of the building) are of course more desirable due to their proximity to the water. IF you can, go for lower numbered units on each floor (101, 201, 301 instead of 115, 215, 315) since you'll be closer to the water and the ocean will fill more of your view. That having been said, give me the ground floor unit farthest from the water, and I'd not complain, and you're an ungrateful slob that can't be satisfied if you'd complain. Both the units we've stayed in have been tastefully appointed - very stylish and inviting. Now that I've said all this, please disregard it: if Kihei Surfside gets too popular, there won't be any availability when we next want to stay there."
