  • Excellent upgraded Condo-Fabulous location!

"As advertised, this condo has many tasteful and luxurious upgrades that greatly enhanced our Maui Vacation.New Granite countertops with undermount sinks in Kitchens and Bath were impressive, as was the extensive custom floor tiles featuring inlaid Sea Turtle images. Stainless steel appliances throughout including a much appreciated ice-maker and water dispenser in the Fridge. All high quality Kitchen utensils and dishes are provided to allow for cooking inside or outdoor BBQ experience. The unit is sparkling clean and pristine throughout.Another appreciated feature is the digital keyless entry lock which meant no more searching for a key/card after a day at the beach! Air conditioning is supplied, but even though we enjoyed hot weather during our stay, we were quite comfortable using the ceiling fans as well as opening the windows and vent louvers. The convenient provided coolers and beach bags made picnics and outings a pleasure. Impressive Ocean and beautiful fountain/garden views from the Lanai made our dining experience memorable. Kamaole Sands location is in our opinion the best location in Maui. The complex is well maintained, 24 hour security and all within a 2 minute walk to the fabulous Kamaole Sands III beach. A special option is to enjoy a "Sunrise walk" along the trail from the beach to Keawakapu Beach and connecting to Wailea leaving only footprints in the sand. The owners/hosts made our booking convenient and stress-free while providing all necessary phone numbers/contacts for property maintenance, although we never required them. Mahalo to Robin and Don Wade! from Doug, Terry and Lianna O'Brien"

  • Wonderful location, updated condo

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location of the Hale Hui Kai complex is great if you are looking to stay in South Kihei. The beach is great for swimming and snorkling. The condo is updated and spacious and clean. Because of the lack of windows and foliage around the small balcony, the condo is dark so it's not someplace you want to hangout long but the common area is lovely and overlooks the pool and ocean with views of Molokini. The back rooms are very warm; even with the portable AC units and fans (in August) so if being hot while you are sleeping is a concern I'd look for another unit. It was well stocked with kitchen, beach chairs, beach towels, snorkling gear so you do not need to pack any of that with you wich is nice. Manager was prompt, friendly, and professional"

  • This unit is as advertised down to the last set of snorkel gear.

"My wife and I waited 20 years to return to Maui since we last visited for our honeymoon, and we came with three boys in tow (ages 11, 12 and 14). We could not be happier with our decision to choose Walt and Carol's unit. The location is exactly where we wanted to be which is across the street from the beach (away from the road, but close enough to walk), a short walk from large resorts as well as from the shops and restaurants in Kihei. The unit itself was impeccably maintained with many personal touches, and it was loaded with all the items we would have otherwise had to pack for a beach vacation - beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, water shoes, snorkeling gear, toys, coolers, etc. That really saved us from having to bring anything but our swimsuits and suntan lotion. In addition, the kitchen had great appliances and all the utensils we needed to make some home-cooked meals, and the washer and dryer were top notch. Finally, there was plenty of room for the five of us to spread out and relax. The door and shutters to the bedroom loft kept that bedroom cool and provided privacy even when someone was downstairs watching one of the TVs. Every item Walt and Carol put in their description of the property and their unit can be taken at face value. They also provided in advance of our arrival a lengthy self-made guide of all the places they recommend which we heavily leveraged throughout our trip. The weather was fantastic the entire week, and we will always remember where we were when the Cleveland streak of sports futility came to an end. Go Cavs!!! If I only knew over the last 45 years that I just had to be in Maui for one of our teams to win a championship! The boys are already asking if we need to go back in October since the Tribe is playing some good baseball right now. We're hoping it doesn't take us 20 more years to get back, but even then, I know where we will be staying. Mahalo Walt and Carol for having such a great place and for making our trip hassle free!"
