  • Perfect location, great condo with an easy walk to great beach!

"This is the a prefect location for Maui, great beach just across the street to watch the sunset, easy walk to great restaurants, we even walked to a luau in Wailea! Also, this area puts you more central on the island for day trips to the crater and Hana's black sand beaches and waterfalls. Maui itself was just a dream and this location was icing on the cake. The property mangement team could not have been nicer and more helpful before and during our stay! When we first arrived we did a load of laundry at the community center and met several of the regular Maui visitors who gave us some great tips. The unit itself is spacious and clean. Also felt very private with a high window on the backside facing trees with a little porch. I highly recommend this place!"

  • Fantastic Unit

"This very homey unit offers all of the amenities that you could want. From the location to the enormous, bonus patio, this unit is truly a Maui gem. Some of the things we enjoy that are within a short walk; awesome beach, great restaurants, groceries, shops and open air markets. The owner of this unit was a pleasure. Everything from informative, speedy correspondence to a lovely unit that feels like home. We hope to stay In this unit for many years to come. Thanks again."

  • Our Fifth Visit to Kamaole Sands

"Once again, Lis and her condo didn't disappoint. Clean and well stocked as usual. Lots of new additions since our last visit. New foam mattress for the sofa bed, new chairs for the beach, new toaster oven in the kitchen and the list goes on. Thanks again for taking such good care of us and allowing us to check out a little later than the norm, it really helped with the delayed flight back to the mainland. Dates are already in place for 2017 and I'll let you know about 2018 when I can. Aloha & Mahalo"

  • Kihei Surfside

"My wife and I enjoyed our honeymoon stay at Kihei Surfside so much, we returned 7 years later for another vacation. I'm wondering why we waited so long! I'll start with the only downside: there's no A/C in this building. On days when the winds are blowing in off the water, this isn't that much of a problem. But when the air is still and hot, opening windows/doors at opposite ends of the unit doesn't do much good, and one begins to baste in his/her own juices. Other than that, there is no downside. In our experience, Kihei tends to cool down at night enough to get a good night's rest, and if you're vacationing on Maui, what're you doing in your room during the day anyway - go sightsee, go lay on the beach, go diving, etc... ! Not to say that the rooms are anything but comfy and NICE. The ocean view smacks you in the face as soon as you open the door - which as far as I'm concerned is the #1 draw of the whole building. Units farther to the left (as you face the front of the building) are of course more desirable due to their proximity to the water. IF you can, go for lower numbered units on each floor (101, 201, 301 instead of 115, 215, 315) since you'll be closer to the water and the ocean will fill more of your view. That having been said, give me the ground floor unit farthest from the water, and I'd not complain, and you're an ungrateful slob that can't be satisfied if you'd complain. Both the units we've stayed in have been tastefully appointed - very stylish and inviting. Now that I've said all this, please disregard it: if Kihei Surfside gets too popular, there won't be any availability when we next want to stay there."
