"The location is awesome, we walked to the beach everyday and some amazing food is just steps away! The condo provided everything we needed and we used the boogie boards and umbrella each time we crossed the street to play in the surf! It fit our party of six wonderfully! So grateful for the stay! Mahalo!"

"We've stayed in this condo. about 4 or 5 times now and always love returning. It has everything you want... boogie boards, snorkeling equipment, beach chairs, water shoes, large beach towels, etc. The remodeled kitchen could be on a DIY show as the "after" project. Large lanai with partial ocean view. And a short walk to the beach that this year had turtles swimming in it most of the day. A real treat. You can't go wrong staying here. Can't wait to return."

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Kamaole Sands Resort. The condo was very clean and modern with a really pretty tropical design. It was very comfortable and we had everything we needed. Everything went as promised. The grounds/property was very beautiful and well-maintained. It is very conveniently located and was only a 5 minute walk to the beach. We would definitely stay here again. It was the perfect home away from home. The only critique I would have is that the condo could use some new beach chairs and a new beach umbrella. The beach chairs had seen better days as the straps were ripped with use and time in the sun. The same goes for the umbrella. I would also recommend to the owners that they get new ice cube trays (very minor but a necessity). Everything else was wonderful--quiet and peaceful.
We would recommend dining at Monkypod Kitchen in Wailea--great drinks and food. We also enjoyed breakfast a couple of times at the Kihei Café. The fish tacos at Coconut's Fish Café lived up to their reputation. We also spent quite a bit of time in Lahaina. The drive to Lahaina was about 45 minutes. There we went to the Maui Ocean Center and took a submarine ride with Atlantis (which we would highly recommend). Another great dining experience was at Lahaina Grill. The food and drinks were fabulous. There just wasn't enough time to try all that was recommended or do all the things we would have liked, and take the time to enjoy the resort. One other thing, if you don't need or want a fancy car, we would recommend renting a car from Kihei Rent-a-Car. They mostly rent Nissan Sentras. They are inexpensive and have great customer service. They will pick you up at the airport and bring you to their site. It worked very well for us.
I would say if you like to be in the thick of it, where all the activity takes place, stay closer to Lahaina. If you prefer a quieter, more peaceful environment, Kihei is perfect. Overall, it was a dream vacation. We will be back!"
