  • Enjoyable Stay in Kihei

"This was our second visit to Kihei; our first stay at Menehune Shores. The condo was as advertised. We found it to be clean and very well stocked in the kitchen and also with beach chairs, toys, body boards, snorkeling equipment. Working with the owner was easy and she was very responsive. The beds were comfortable, and it was nice to have the two bathrooms. There is access to the beach going south for quite a distance if you enjoy just walking on the beach. There is a man-made stone fish wall that spans the length of the building in the ocean. This keeps the water in front of the building very calm, which means you won't hear crashing surf and it's quite easy to swim and just play around in the water there without any waves. It's very sandy in the water. This unit is on the very end of the building closest to the main road that runs through Kihei. It means you have extra windows and more cross-ventilation in the unit, but also means you hear continuous traffic noise, and because the water is so calm at this part of the beach, you don't have the crashing surf to drown out the noise. The lanai didn't have a completely straight on view of the ocean because it was at the end of the building, but still had a lovely view and we enjoyed several wonderful sunsets there. The building is towards the northern part of the city which means that you're not necessarily within walking distance of a lot of the commercial part of the city, but also means it's not as crowded and easier to get from there to other parts of the island. Kihei is very centrally located on the western side of the island to a lot of other places to visit and is relatively affordable. We really enjoyed our stay at this condo and our experience in renting it."

  • Great stay

"William's place was exactly as advertised. Spacious, very clean and comfortable. Easy check in and nice property. Only complaint is that the wifi doesn't work well in the bedroom but that was very minor considering what a great condo rental this was!"

  • Great place to stay, nice unit and amenities and close to beach.

"Unit was very clean and comfortable as described. Nice amenities. Loved the complex, minimal noise. Pool and jacuzzi very nice. Very close to beach and local shops, restaurants within walking distance. Loved that air conditioner was on timer which helped keep cognizant of not wasting electricity! Back bedroom was always very warm and would not cool off even with ceiling fan. Quite challenging parking at the complex especially if you have a full size car; next to impossible to get in and out of car while parked with cars next to you on either side. I actually had car adjacent to me scrape my fender. Because there are cars behind you it is difficult backing in and out of stall--suggestion, rent a small car if you stay at this complex. We liked the unit, and would definately stay here again."

  • Great Stay!

"This was a great Ohana rental. It's a nice, stand alone guest house in a quiet residential area. It's right at a quarter mile from the beach access with a sidewalk all the way there. We spent most of our time at Kamole Beach Park which is three miles down South Kihei Rd. The hosts thought of all the little things, from the copies of Maui revealed and stocking spices and bathroom/kitchen items. Samantha even loaned us a coffee grinder for a week. The unit has a bedroom AC but we only ran it one night and didn't need it afterwards. The unit really didn't need AC on most days, but it can get hot in the afternoon if there are no clouds or trade. If you need to be sitting around at 4pm watching TV in 68 degrees, this isn't the place for you. We loved the visits from Kapala and could have seen more of him. Thanks to the family for their hospitality! Mahalo"
