  • A Condo in Paradise

"We have stayed in A-314 several times, and have enjoyed every minute of our time there. The condo is comfortably furnished, and the kitchen is well supplied with all of the necessities. It is excellently located and the views from the spacious lanai are outstanding. The beautiful grounds, the pool and the ocean in one direction, and the mountains in the other. The sunset views are outstanding, and well worth the short walk to the beach to fully view and photograph them. The south Maui location is convenient to all necessary shopping and a great variety of restaurants. We are eagerly looking forward to our next stay in A-314 and our days in Paradise."

  • The property was in good condition. It is bigger and has more room than the internet shows.

"The unit was easy to find. We arrived on a Sunday. The office is closed on the weekends but a polite and knowledgeable guard was on site to help everyone with questions. We stay in Bldg 1 of three buildings. We were on the ground floor, a short walking distance to the pool. The pool is kept clean but it is very small. It is oval shaped and for my wife, who likes to swim laps, was not acceptable. There is no ocean view from the property, but by walking a short distance to the sidewalk, there is a crosswalk, which takes you down a block. You are higher than the ocean at this point and then must walk down stairs and out on the sand until you get to the water. It is nice long, clean beach. The property has a number of pieces of equipment supplied by the owner. These range from sports equipment to beach towels, to many other accessories which made our visit more enjoyable. The property is close to shopping, food stores and quite a number of restaurants. The property is a relative short drive from the airport. Kehie is about a 15 minute drive down to the Wailea hotels, golf courses and snorkeling beaches. There is a good selection of TV channels and CD player. We brought a number of DVDs but the unit did not have a DVD player. It is a very functional unit and my wife and I enjoyed our stay. We would definitely consider staying at this property again. The owner was very accessible and responsive to the few issues we encountered."

  • Great Maui Condo!

"My husband and I spent a week here and were extremely satisfied. The central location was perfect for our day trips around the island, from Lahaina to Haleakala to Paia to Hana. It was great to be across the street for the Kamaole II beach, we went there every day and loved being so close. Also Kihei itself is great! Awesome food is within walking distance - Da Kitchen, Kinaole food truck, and Cafe Olei were a few we loved. We found the condo itself just the right size, clean, and well appointed. We appreciated that there was plenty of great beach equipment. We also loved having a kitchen and being able to make some of our meals. During our stay we did have one issue with the shower, which the condo owners were quick to respond to and have their local handyman take care of immediately - so no complaints! We would recommend this condo to anyone traveling to Maui."

  • Great location for Kihei beaches, solid but a touch shopworn.

"We enjoyed our stay here -- the location is very central to the Kihei beaches and walkable to some decent eats (short drive for the rest/best). The condo unit itself is pretty good - everything works, kitchen is decently equipped, there's w/d, it's quiet, setup is nice, and decor has "hawaii style" touches. Plus, there are beach towels, chairs and snorkeling stuff available for guest use, which we appreciated. So you should feel good staying here -- and note that a few things could be better -- the air conditioners (window units) were older and made quite a racket, the closet doors were hard to open and close, that sort of thing. Also, you *can* see the ocean from the lanais, but the view is a stretch over the rooftops of other buildings - what is right out front is the parking lot. One other thing: there was no parking pass in the unit when we arrived. The instructions (emailed prior to arrival, on table in unit, and laminated on fridge) all emphasize to be extremely diligent in placing the pass on your car, lest you be ticketed and towed. I called the manager and asked about the pass, and was told "not to worry about it". When I mentioned the warnings, he said "what did I just say? don't worry about it." He delivered a pass as promised (2 days later, when office opened) and we had no problems - but it isn't the way I want to start a vacation. Overall 3.5-4 stars"
