  • Beautiful spot in paradise

"The Tine House with Upper Sleeping Loft is cozy, artistic, comfortable, clean and equipped with all you need for your stay at Maui. It is located just beside the owners house, privately facing a beautiful spacious deck for your breakfast in paradise or stargazing at night. The owners kindly provide all essentials you need for your stay, including such things as beach towels, beach chairs, beach bag and body board. These "small" things make a huge difference in your stay - you just feel very comfortable and literally like at home or visiting good friends. Location of the tiny house is superb: Kihei is not as posh as Wailea or Lahaina and offers everything a vibrant costal town should. Great services, fine dining, fun bars - you name it. North Kihei is a superior base location for any discovery travel along the island - the South Maui with all the wonderful beaches and snorkeling spots is at your fingertips, the West (historic places and more fine snorkeling), North Maui (surfers paradise and organic hot spot) are just a short drive away - approx 20 - 40 min at max. Off course Hana (East Maui) is a bit farther, but still very acceptable. Communication with the owners is clear, straight forward and pleasant. I fully recommend this place and hopefully we will come back."

  • A great place to relax and enjoy Maui!

"This place worked out great for us! The unit was plenty roomy, well-furnished, and the view from the top floor was stupendous. We were "blessed" with quite a bit of rain for our time on the island, and so we got even more use from the lanai than we normally might have. Having all the green space around the buildings was nice too. Everything worked well in the unit, and there were a lot of fun restaurants not too far away. We had no noise issues from the building, and really enjoyed the sound and view of the ocean."

  • Very nice, private beach-front home in Kihei

"Very much enjoyed our 10-day stay at this lovely home right on the beach in Kihei. We've been coming to Maui for over 30-years and have always stayed in condos, generally in one of the resort areas. So this time we decided to try something completely different and we are glad we did. This is a spacious home that is very nicely furnished. The main living area is open, in a great-room style and very comfortable. You can see and hear the ocean from everywhere in the room. The master bedroom/bath is also very spacious and beautifully finished, with a great view of the ocean. The other two bedrooms are large and comfortable, and each has its own large bath area. The large back patio is well equipped with outdoor furniture and we spent a lot of time out there enjoying the ocean view. The house sits on a quiet street about a block off of South Kihei Road. Driveway parking is adequate. There is a large beach front park about a 10 to 15 minute walk down the street where you can rent paddle-boards, kayaks, etc. It's a pleasant walk along a quiet road and then a nice pathway along the beach in the park. The beach directly in front of the house is sandy and relatively quiet, good for relaxing in the morning sun. (Kihei gets pretty windy sometimes, especially in the afternoons in the winter months.) There were numerous sea turtles to watch, including one who came up on the beach for a nap in the sun. The reef goes quite far out, but there were not many fish so we generally went to other beaches for snorkeling. There is a public beach access path adjacent to the house, but it was lightly used. There is a good golf course about 5 minutes away. We played there twice and took advantage of the lower afternoon rates. Finally, I can't say enough kind things about Sherry Spaise. She is wonderful to work with. We can confidently recommend this rental to anyone who is looking for something other than the big-resort experience."
