  • Great condo, felt like home

"We stayed for a week and wish it could have been longer. Upon walking in it felt like home, very comfortable and welcoming. The view couldn't have been better, great way to wake up everyday. We had everything we needed even beach chairs and umbrella to make our beach trips more enjoyable. Very close to a lot of great local restaurants and shopping. The property was very well taken care of, pool was great even had BBQ's to make a home cooked meal. The owners of this property have done a great job in making this condo a place I would definitely go back to."

  • Family Vacation

"The view and location of the Kihei Surfside was awesome! Was great to get up in the morning and walk right down to the beach. Grounds are kept up very nice; sunsets are beautiful here. Can get a bit warm with no A/C, but definitely manageable with the ceiling fans. With a family of four, kids had the pullout couch, which was somewhat broke and worn out. Overall, we had a wonderful time at the Kihei Surfside."

  • Enjoyed our stay.

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We liked this well-located ocean-view condo (just passed the busiest part of S. Kihei Road and a short walk to Kamaole III beach and park) and the fact that it is an end unit with side windows on both floors for additional light. It was clean and comfortable -- although the living room furniture isn't the most comfortable, but not bad. Also we would have liked the King bed to be on the upper floor as the master bedroom -- although it is 'open' in a loft style to the downstairs living room (sliding slatted doors can close off the opening). The biggest plus is that Rentals Maui is very efficient, excellent in email communication, their smart phone app is a great tool, and they responded quickly to one minor maintenance issue. Also, everything we needed for the beach was available (chairs, umbrella, coolers, etc). I would definitely work with them again. Thank you."

  • we loved this house

"Our family of 6 (16-yr-old daughter, 14-yr-old son, 12-yr-old daughter, 8-yr-old son) plus my brother (33 yr-old) stayed here July 2015 and loved it. The only thing that is keeping me from giving this house an "excellent" rating is the fact that the downstairs bedroom didn't have air conditioning and it was very hot in there. We had 2 fans going in there with the window and door open, but it was still very hot. I think a small AC or even a little portable one should be put in there. Our favorite part of the house is the back porch. We spent most of our time out there. The sofas and chairs out there were very comfortable and it was much cooler than the livingroom. We used the table and chairs out there a lot, too, for meals, card games, or just hanging out. There were several unplanned naps taken out there, too. The neighborhood is so quiet and the breeze so nice. And, of course, the view is breathtaking. Our daughters shared the king bed in one bedroom, our older son had the bedroom with the full/queen(?) bed to himself, our 8-yr-old son shared the king bed with us in the master bedroom (only because it's what he's used to), and my brother was in the hot bedroom downstairs. It was really nice having 3 full bathrooms. The shower head in the master bathroom was my second favorite part of the house and I regret not writing down what kind it was! We hardly spent time in the livingroom simply because it was too hot, but the porch made up for that. The kitchen was great --everything in perfect working order and the only thing we missed was a rice cooker because we have rice with every meal. Baby cockroaches and small centipedes were sighted, but that is totally expected in the tropics. There was room for both of our minivans to park in driveway in front of the house. The owner's son is close by if you have any issues and he is very nice and helpful. Our 14-yr-old son didn't realize the screen sliding door was closed and walked right through it one evening ripping it all the way off. The owner's son fixed it without charging us. Overall, we love the house and would stay there every year if only that 4th bedroom downstairs had AC."
