  • Felt well taken care of

"Fabulously laid out home. Our hosts offer a very clean home with a great location. Checkin was a breeze. Great grocery store Hawaiian Moon just around the corner. A heads up in that the unit is near South Kihei Road. It's great to be close to the ocean and it's a very busy street so the noise was quite apparent for us. Still a 5 star rating."

  • Relaxing

"Our first time in 402 and really liked it. Have stayed in other units and this may be our favorite due to proximity to ocean. Love the new balcony and furniture. Appreciate beach chairs & towel, ice chest, etc. great vacation!"

  • Perfect condo for a get away

"This was a great vacation! We loved this beautiful little condo. Very inviting and comfortable. We loved how close it was to the beach. It is and end unit so we only had one neighbor that we shared the wall with. Our only complaint was there is no a/c, but with the windows open it helped to cool it down at night."

  • Amazing stay with family and friends!

"First time to Hawaii and was very pleasantly surprised by this resort. We were going with friends who have timeshares and we booked thru 5 star rentals. From the pictures expected it to be a 5 on a scale of 1-10, however, would give it a 10 after experiencing a 10 day stay. Our party included 6 adults and 8 teens. From the moment we walked in to check in, the staff was laid back and super friendly. We stayed in a two bedroom unit in building 9 that had partial ocean view from the balcony but that didn't bother me - we were not in our rooms that much and when we came back to cook, eat and sleep - it was dark anyway. The layout of the rooms is super functional for a family - the murphy bed in perfectly placed so even if teens are sleeping late you can still use the living and dining room without being on top of them. The decor is updated and really comfortable and the kitchen had absolutely everything we needed! The beach was right across the street - just maybe a 5 minute walk from our unit and you can borrow beach items from the "borrow room" that other guest have left behind and add to it as you leave. The pool is not huge but also not heavily used - many times we were there with only a few others enjoying the hot tub and pool area.It was super clean and had lots of loungers. Better than some larger resorts I had been too where you have to get to the pool when it opens to get a chair. The location of the resort is great for exploring Kihei - at the main street you can go left or right for restaurants, shops and beaches. We did a ton of activities with our group and booked most of them right there at the resort thru their Expedia representative. I would not do Road to Hana again - too stressful for me - but very scenic if you want to spend the day seeing the island. I would not go on a scuba trip - too crowded - would rent gear and do on own - most of our group did this and saw more than we did on our group tour. I would recommend surf lessons - the kids had a blast. We did get skunked fishing - so make sure to ask lots of questions before booking - we would have not gone trophy fishing but gone for tuna with live bait. We enjoyed Kihei Cafe, Cafe Olea, Freds and then we ended our trip with an amazing meal at Mama's Fish House - pricey but an experience we enjoyed thoroughly!"
