  • Great Wailea Location

"Having my Father own property less than five minutes away, we needed a comfortable, clean, centrally located property, close to all that Wailea and Kihei has to offer. You are walking distance from the "Shops at Wailea", where there are restaurants, and every kind of shop, ranging from the very high end, to a couple of surf shops. You are a couple minutes drive to the beach, or a nice 15 minute walk. Each night when we stayed in, usually bbq'ing, we would watch the sunset from our lanai. There are two pools to choose from in the Ekolu complex, one literally outside your back door. When a minor problem arose, Rick was on it, and I never gave it a second thought. We were thankful to find a condo that fit our family of four so well!"

  • Ekahi 25c exceeded our expectations, providing both comfort and convenience at reasonable cost

"We had a relaxing and memorable time in Wailea. The place we rented (Ekahi 25c) exceeded our expectations, providing both comfort and convenience at reasonable cost. The beds were bigger and more comfortable than most we encounter at hotels. The place was clean when we arrived and easy to keep clean. The air conditioning and overhead fans provided welcome relief from afternoon and evening temperatures and humidity, though the weather was near-perfect most mornings near the water. There were short sprinkles some afternoons and one day (out of 8) of light rain, but we escaped potentially more serious effects from the two hurricanes which passed by a few days before our stay. The kitchen was well equipped though we could have used a more functional tool than the can and bottle openers provided to pry open or leverage screw-top jars. The fresh fruit available from the amply stocked and reasonably priced Safeway 15 minutes away was delicious. The fantastic beach and two pools (one adult, one for all) were easily walkable and lightly populated by friendly people and dogs. The two beach chairs and umbrella provided both worked fine, but a couple more of each would have been helpful. The owners provided helpful lists of restaurants, grocery stores, and other resources. We particularly enjoyed Coconuts for fish tacos and seared ahi salads and Three Chefs for Asian/Southwestern/Hawaiian dishes (both in Kihei) and Lapperts for ice cream in the Wailea shopping center. We also enjoyed dinners prepared by our son and daughter-in-law at their neighboring Ekahi place, which was larger and more up-to-date, but considerably more expensive. The large lawns nearby provided great play areas for their pre-school kids. There was some traffic noise in the morning from a neighboring street, but it was only noticeable out on the lanai--not inside. We replaced a couple bulbs, but everything else worked great. We were pleased to inherit from the previous occupants a few usable items in the refrigerator and to forward the favor to the next guests."

  • Playful Charm!

"We knew this place was special from the moment we stepped inside this beautiful home. Every glance revealed a surprise -- from the lovely and forlorn Ganesh, to the entryway sconces, to the dragonfly kite. The attention to detail, evident good taste in design, and the impeccable way in which each feature flows together let us know right away a lot of love and attention had been put into making this place just perfect. We felt as though we knew the owners without having ever met them. It was, and is, truly lovely. The photos, while good, simply do not do it justice. As Wailea visitors for more than a decade, this warm home offers beauty and quiet solitude in the heart of the western shore, yet is only a short ten minute walk down to the Shops at Wailea and an even shorter walk to Monkey Pod for our favorite island Mai Tais. You will enjoy the light-rimmed lanai in the warm summer evenings, and the comfortable bed with soft leaf-fanned ceiling fans when Mr. Sandman calls. The spirit of joy, warmth, and aloha is everywhere. Enjoy!"
