  • Outstanding south Maui experience!

"What an incredible property! Here's the breakdown: Location: Wailea, south Maui, the sunniest part of Maui. It's about 30-40 min from the airport, 1/2 a mile across from the Wailea mall. After you land, make sure you stock up on goods from Costco / Walmart next to the airport. The property is on the first floor, very convenient! The drive to and from the location is very easy. There is protected parking, and it's very safe. Perfect for family / friends. There are plenty of beaches within 5 min drive from the condo. If you want to walk, it's about 20 min away. We didn't golf or play tennis, but if you do, it's adjacent to the condo. Living room: very large, with open design of living / dining and kitchen. The living room opens to a large deck, where the private washer and dryer are located. Plenty of space for everyone to hang out. The kitchen is a bit small, but very functional. Bedrooms: 1 master with walk-in bathroom and closet, and 2 additional bedrooms. The master as an additional private deck as well. Furthermore, there's a pull-out bed in the living room. Our kids loved sleeping there. Bathrooms: 2 total, with the walk-in and the separate bathroom. Plenty of space. Amenities: Jim and Mary really thought of everything. Let's start with the kitchen. There's coffee maker, filter, microwave, all the cooking utensils you'll ever need. We didn't even need half of what they had; there was even rice cooker and CrockPot! They even had salt and pepper and ketchup, and paper towels. We bough olive oil and additional paper towels besides food. They even had all the grilling utensils for the common gas grill cross the parking area (about 50 ft away) next to the pool, all free and NOT crowded at all. The bathroom had plenty of towels, shampoo, soap, etc. We did buy additional toilet paper. The deck had the washer and dryer, AND detergent! We bought additional detergent. In addition, there were plenty of beach toys, beach towels, chairs, umbrella. You don't have to buy anything! Overall, I would give it > 5 stars if I could. There were a couple of occasions I had questions, and Jim got back to me IMMEDIATELY. The response time was incredible and really gave reassurance. I recommend it to anyone!"

  • Just what we were hoping for.

"We enjoyed unit 609 very much. The interior was very nicely decorated and current. The kitchen was the best equipped I have seen. The unit itself is on the street side of the building but that really does not take away from the view. The ad picture of the lanai is accurate and beautiful, you just do not get the panoramic to the left (south) but still a very beautiful view. The beach is fabulous, big enough for lists of room but not busy. the beach infant of the Fairmont is adjoining this beach, as well this is the south end of the Wailea Beach walk which is beautiful. Communication with Shelly was great and she was very accommodating. Would book 609 again without any hesitation."

  • Luxury at its finest

"Returning to Maui with my husband, we had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful villa. Having rented dozens of VRBO properties over the past 3 decades, I can honestly say this was our overall best experience from the booking process to departure. Dr. Blair is extremely responsive in answering any questions and Hope and her team at Paradise Comforts are readily available to assist you during the stay. Hope not only took care of pre-arrival grocery shopping for us but also left a kind note along with ground coffee and several unexpected delicious treats and checked in on us to see if there was anything we needed. Though not directly on the ocean, the elevated location of this villa offers phenomenal views of the ocean as well as a good portion of Wailea and views around the nearby coastal cities. Watching sectacular sunsets every evening and the Island light up was a special treat. We loved how quiet it was at night-rarely hearing a sound until the birds awake at dawn. The location is very convenient, within a couple miles of excellent restaurants, shopping, the beach. We enjoyed excellent meals at Ferraro's, Matteos, and The Restaurant. We rented a kayak in front of the Grand Wailea and had a massive sea turtle float under us. They are frequently spotted and there is also great snorkeling at Wailea Beach and to the right of the Grand Wailea beach. Water activities are best in the morning when the winds are usually calm. By noon the trade winds pick up and last about 4 hours. Despite rain and clouds being forecasted daily we had sunshine every day! Drive to Makena and purchase a coconut from a local-very refreshing and a fun experience. The villa is extremely well stocked. The kitchen is a chef's dream and includes most of the spices and other staples you could possible need. There are several coolers, very nice beach chairs (all beaches are public in Hawaii), numerous beach towels, beach bags, freezer packs...even sunscreen and bug spray (aside from a few flies onthe beach we didn't notice any bugs). My husband was thrilled to be able to watch our home state football game and the World Series on the large Screen TV. There are numerous games, books, movies, etc if you are traveling with children. I suggest bringing binoculars to check out the boats-and whales if they are in season. Dr. Blair and Hope, we look forward to returning to what is now our favorite VRBO rental and a truly first Class Experience!! Thank you both!"

  • Spectacular View!

"We have stayed at Wailea Ekolu for the past 6 years and this is one of the best 1 bedroom units on the property we have stayed in. Beautiful view from the lanai; easy walking distance to The Shops of Wailea and oceanfront. Condo is in a very quiet location and well appointed with everything one needs for their stay. Owner provided excellent communication from the time we booked the property in April to after check out. Manoli's, which is just down the street, was excellent for lunch - husband raved about the fish sandwich (Mahi mahi was the catch of the day) and my turkey club was excellent; make sure you add avocado to it. Since we have been coming to Maui for many years, we tend not to run around doing many activities but this time I checked off learning to paddle board from my bucket list - highly recommend private lessons from Paddle On! Maui which do their lessons off Polo Beach in front of the Fairmont Kea Lani which is close by. We also drove down south of La Perouse Bay where there is a beautiful hike on the lava fields along the coast - do this hike early in the day, pack lots of water and proper footwear is a must. Mahalo, Laurie & Glenn for sharing your beautiful island home and we look forward to staying there again one day!"
