  • The perfect Hana getaway

"My wife, two children, and I spent two nights here at the beginning of July. Upon arriving we were greeted by Andrew and Robin who were making sure everything was in order for our stay. As soon as our baggage was put away, we fell into complete relaxation mode on the large covered porch. Views of endless tropical vegetation stretched to a horizon of blue Pacific. The interior was extremely comfortable and the owners have supplied everything you might need. My children loved all the local geckos that like to climb on the window screen in the evening. We found the home to be a perfect base for visiting the Kipahulu district of Haleakala national park, Hamoa Beach, and of course Hana town. We are already imagining our next trip to Maui, and we hope this house will be a part of it once again."

  • Home-in-Maui

"We stayed in the studio apartment, with a beautiful lanai, great floral gardens, and welcoming hosts. We will definitely be going back to this peaceful oasis. The feeling of family cottage is my best description. Hawaii as it used to be. If you want to relax, breathe, and forget the great wild world, this is the place. The unit was clean, all little dated, and charming. The hosts welcoming and accomodating and helpful without intrusion. Location is upcountry, so restaurants and stores require a small drive, but a good map and willingness to explore will be rewarded by amazing vistas, friendly people, and a great time."

  • A peaceful, comfortable, alternative to plastic central

"For those people like ourselves, who like the more rustic/country style of accomodation, then Ho'omana spa is a great alternative. Simple quiet, cool, self contained where breakfast is supplied( fresh fruit, juice, Danish) although we did add cereal & yogurt of our own. Township of Makawao just 10 minutes down the hill with a good restaurant Casanova, where we had 2 dinners. Good location to explore the Island, being in the middle so we could drive west & east & see all the best spots"

  • Marvelous!!!

"Ekena will absolutely blow you away. We have stayed in Hana before, so we know the area quite well, but we did not know about Ekena, I am so glad that we found it! The views, the setting, the gardens, the peacefulness, the song of the birds and, to top it all off, the absolutely superb property. Great architecture and immaculately maintained, with everything that you need for a great stay. Robin and Gaylord are most graceful, friendly and helpful hosts. We were only able to stay for five days this time - WAAYY too short. We will be back soon for a longer stay!!"
