  • Great stay

"My husband and I stayed at Tutu's House for a night and had a great visit. The house is in a great location, a short drive from restaurants, the general store, and some amazing beaches. We thought the house was great. We had our best night sleep of our entire trip, the bathroom was spacious, and the kitchen had everything you'd need to cook some meals. We didn't encounter any of the issues noted in previous negative reviews. While this house is not fancy like a hotel, it was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed."

  • A lovely week's stay

"We stayed here for a week in July as my husband is a kitesurfer wanting somewhere to get in some solid everyday training. The location is really good for the beach and very quiet. The apartment has a good kitchen and seating area, the balcony is a really good size too. There is air con in the bedroom but we found the doors left open with the mesh screen was enough. The apartment was too far for us to walk to Paia which was a shame as it would have been nice to get out whilst my husband was kiting, but this didn't hinder us whatsoever. The owners are lovely and very helpful. There's a fact sheet with local recommendations and ideas of things to do and see. We were there over July 4th and they invited us round to have dinner with their friends which was lovely and something we'll no doubt look back on fondly. Under the apartment is a gorgeous huge seating area with BBQ and extra large fridge. We had a BBQ a couple of nights and the setting is just fantastic. If you want a quiet relaxing break then this place is for you."

  • Perfect little bungalow - Amazing location!

"This property is SO amazing and the pictures don't do it justice! When we first arrived, we were blown away by how amazing the front lawn area is. It's right on the waters edge! The views are stunning and it's so comfortable and relaxing on those lounge chairs. Also a perfect spot to enjoy dinner or a cocktail and watch the sunset over West Maui! The house itself was perfect and had everything you needed. Comfortable bed, nice sheets, great pillows and fans and AC's in both the bedroom and the living area. The kitchen was stocked with everything you needed to cook a great meal, and they even filled the fruit bowl with some of the delicious fruit that they have growing around their property. The outdoor patio is perfect for eating and just relaxing, while taking in the amazing views, and it's also covered which is great if you want to hang outside while its raining! Other reviews have mentioned the noise of cars driving by (property is located right on a busy main road), but we didn't notice the noise even once. It's not loud enough to ever be a bother (my husband worked during the day and took a lot of phone calls inside and outside - never made a single comment about the noise from the traffic!), but if it does happen bother you, they kindly provide white noise machines. The location is central, away from the hustle and bustle of the south side (yet very easy to get to), and at the start of the drive to Hana. Paia has quite a few good restaurants, and Mana Foods (a small natural health foods store) has everything you need to make a delicious meal, stock up on beach snacks, or find amazing locally made food items. You're also very close to the airport! Valerie and Craig are so friendly, super accommodating and very understanding. The really make you feel comfortable and at home. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!!"

  • The perfect Hana getaway

"My wife, two children, and I spent two nights here at the beginning of July. Upon arriving we were greeted by Andrew and Robin who were making sure everything was in order for our stay. As soon as our baggage was put away, we fell into complete relaxation mode on the large covered porch. Views of endless tropical vegetation stretched to a horizon of blue Pacific. The interior was extremely comfortable and the owners have supplied everything you might need. My children loved all the local geckos that like to climb on the window screen in the evening. We found the home to be a perfect base for visiting the Kipahulu district of Haleakala national park, Hamoa Beach, and of course Hana town. We are already imagining our next trip to Maui, and we hope this house will be a part of it once again."
