  • Absolutely lovely!

"We are from Germany and this was our second time on Maui, first time in Kula. And if we ever get there again, we would for sure stay at the Kula Treat again. Everything was great from the first conract until we checked out. The owner is a lovely and very helpful person, the rooms were clean and comfortable, the house is located in a beautiful neighborhood with a pretty view. Also for visiting the Haleakala this is was the perfect location. We can't wait to come back. Mahalo!"

  • From Seattle

"Absolutely wonderful. 3 full master suites. We shared with our 2 adult children and their spouses. Walk out the door to the beach. Quiet, spacious, lovely deck with bbq. Would go back in a heartbeat."

  • Wonderful accommodations and location!!!!

"My adult son and I stayed at this charming B&B for 5 nights. We have both been to Maui numerous times before and love it. Having said this, we’ve done the Kaanapali beach gig and now wanted to explore the hiking options at Haleakala, the Upcountry and the East Side of the island. We chose G&Z because of the close proximity to what we wanted to do, the convenience of having kitchen facilities and having a little more room in the unit versus a hotel room. The owners Marsha and John were very friendly and accommodating. The fresh fruit and locally made scones brought each evening for the following morning’s breakfast were so good! A Keurig coffee maker is in the kitchen and K-cups are provided along with a selection of teas. I would have preferred a drip coffee maker so I could try the local coffees, but the Keurig was nice all the same. A variety of cereals, juice, butter and bottled water were also provided. The setup is awesome. The cottage is attached to the owner’s home, so they were always available for questions, yet it is also very private. The furnishings and amenities were very new and made our stay so comfortable. The bed was as comfortable as mine back home. The bathroom had a huge shower and the unit had excellent fixtures throughout and water pressure in the shower was great. The kitchen appliances and furnishings were also top notch. The living room had a nice electric fireplace that was nice on cooler mornings and evenings, a pull-out sofa and a lanai is off the living room area with views of the south shore! I can’t say enough about the Marsha and John. It is evident that they work very. hard to keep their place very nice and yet are so friendly and helpful. Thank you for a wonderful stay. I would go back in a heartbeat!!!!"
