  • Great location! Wonderful home with lots of character and charm!

"I would come back here and stay anytime! The location is ideal for driving the Road to Hana or going up Haleakala. The house is beautiful with large rooms, comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. One of my favorite parts, aside from the lovely Lindsey who oversees the house, is the outside showers. Coming back from after a day at the beach or a long drive along the Road to Hana and then bathing outside in the privacy of the outdoor showers was wonderful! Be sure to check out the fence made of surfboards just down the road from the Inn. Be sure to sit and chat with Lindsey over a cup of coffee. Be sure to stay here is you want to get a feel for the real Hawaii."

  • Perfect getaway spot!

"We found the Menehune Cottage on VRBO when looking for a small place for a long weekend in Maui. Anne who is the property manager was great to work with and kept up communication until we landed. Margaret and her husband, who own the property, were around and great to chat with about the history of the house and cottage. The spot was perfect and we couldn't have been happier. The cottage was clean and comfy and even though there wasn't any A/C we were never there during the day and found the house cooled off nicely at night for sleeping. We headed towards Hana easily one day and over to Makena Beach for snorkeling the next. Pa'ia is a great little town with good eats and cute beachy shopping. The general store on the corner by the house had the BEST smoothies and breakfast items. Best of all Mama's and the beach were a very short walk from the cottage. We were already talking about our next stay before we even got to the airport. Thanks for a great weekend stay and we will definitely be back!!"

  • Garden Oasis and fabulous studio

"Our stay at Mangolani was perfect! We stayed in a first floor studio just remodeled and professionly decorated with a modern yet homey feel. The house is situated on beautiful grounds with a hot-tub to soak in every night. The kitchen was stocked beyond belief, better than ours at home and we love to cook! Laundry, extra linens, anything you might need for your beach outing is all on site. We love the location, a quick walk to Mana Foods for gluten, vegan, healthy foods is .6miles away. We enjoyed coffee in the morning listening to the wind chimes or took it to go to the nearby beach. We love the locals in Paiu and getting away from the tourist noise and movement of Kehei and Kannapali. The owner, Dave is always on site, responds to any concerns instantly as was a great host. We are booking again soon for next January!!"

  • Quiet, comfortable home, great location

"Our family of four (myself, my husband, two teen girls) spent two days in the house in March of 2016. It was spotless, large, very comfortable. It had a fully stocked kitchen, easy to cook it. The washer/dryer was very helpful. Great yard and jacuzzi. Can easily walk to Mama's fish house or the small store/deli. Neighborhood is quiet, residential. Roomy, airy space. Loved it!!"
