  • Highly Recommend!

"This is our second time staying at the Sprecks Plantation House and we will definitely be back. We have stayed in both the Plumeria and Mango units. The units are beautifully decorated and have everything you need including very comfortable beds. The kitchens are well appointed and provide all the pots/pans and utensils you need to cook in (including a gas BBQ). The whole complex is meticulously cared for..inside and out. We had the misfortune of getting a flat tire while we were here. Glen, the owner, happened to be on the property and just jumped in and changed our tire without being asked. What a great guy! A few bonuses: laundry; miscellaneous beach items for your use (umbrellas; chairs; toys; snorkelling gear); bicycles (it is a very short ride to Baby Beach through the neighbourhood or Kanaha Beach along a bike path) Some people worry about airplane noise when considering Specklesville. We are light sleepers and sleep with the doors and windows open. Yes, you hear the airplanes...but we did not find them that disruptive. The minor inconvenience of hearing the occasional airplane is far outweighed by the rest of the experience. (Note - you can cut down on the noise if you open only the south facing doors and windows)"

  • Perfect little hideaway

"Martha's condo was a perfect choice for our vacation. Located on the beautiful, resort-free side of the island, it was quiet with a lovely view and a big yard for my 8-yr-old son to play in. A gate leads to a path to the beach. It's close to the road to Hana and just up the road from down-town Paia where you will find lovely shops and delicious food. The condo had everything we needed and more including beach chairs and snorkels. Martha's housekeeper was available if we had any questions and the condo caretaker was on site each morning. Definitely splurge on a meal at Mama's Fish House - it's a very special place. Thank you Martha for sharing your lovely home!"

  • Perfect little bungalow - Amazing location!

"This property is SO amazing and the pictures don't do it justice! When we first arrived, we were blown away by how amazing the front lawn area is. It's right on the waters edge! The views are stunning and it's so comfortable and relaxing on those lounge chairs. Also a perfect spot to enjoy dinner or a cocktail and watch the sunset over West Maui! The house itself was perfect and had everything you needed. Comfortable bed, nice sheets, great pillows and fans and AC's in both the bedroom and the living area. The kitchen was stocked with everything you needed to cook a great meal, and they even filled the fruit bowl with some of the delicious fruit that they have growing around their property. The outdoor patio is perfect for eating and just relaxing, while taking in the amazing views, and it's also covered which is great if you want to hang outside while its raining! Other reviews have mentioned the noise of cars driving by (property is located right on a busy main road), but we didn't notice the noise even once. It's not loud enough to ever be a bother (my husband worked during the day and took a lot of phone calls inside and outside - never made a single comment about the noise from the traffic!), but if it does happen bother you, they kindly provide white noise machines. The location is central, away from the hustle and bustle of the south side (yet very easy to get to), and at the start of the drive to Hana. Paia has quite a few good restaurants, and Mana Foods (a small natural health foods store) has everything you need to make a delicious meal, stock up on beach snacks, or find amazing locally made food items. You're also very close to the airport! Valerie and Craig are so friendly, super accommodating and very understanding. The really make you feel comfortable and at home. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!!"

  • Comfortable, clean, convenient

"My wife and I spent three nights in this condo as part of our honeymoon on Maui. The unit was clean, spacious, comfortable and conveniently located for walking and driving to many locations. There are two a/c units, one in the bedroom and one in the living room/kitchen and both are quiet and efficient. Both bathrooms are clean and modern, the ensuite features a nicely tiled shower. Two lanais, both private and comfy. The unit is spacious and comfortable for a couple. The pool area/beach access is great and only about a 5 minute stroll through the manicured grounds. Again, clean and well maintained. We enjoy long walks, exploring areas and this location was great for that. Shops at Wailea were about 25-30 minute walk via the beach walking path or the main roadway from this condo. Big Beach was about a 10 minute easy drive. Check-in was easy, parking was right outside the entrance area of the unit, everybody at the complex was very friendly with a good mix of families and older couples. Overall we are very happy with the experience; location, condo, and easy communication with the owner, Deb. We would definitely return here if we make it back one day!"
