  • Everything was perfect!

"Well kept, clean and updated condo with privacy yet close enough for a lovely view of the pool and gardens. This condo has everything that you need for your stay including a beautiful, newly remodeled kitchen, along with flat screen tvs in both the bedroom and kitchen area. Lots of lounging and sitting space, a dining table and another table and chairs set on the lanai. The full bathroom was clean and updated as well. The bedroom is bright and clean and the king size bed was heavenly. Everything seemed polished and new. We also had use of a cooler, a beach umbrella, and beach chairs. The pool is right in front of the condo and the ocean right behind. The outdoor barbecues were close by and wonderful to have and use. We met up with several friends and spent time in other condos. In comparison, ours was so clean, bright and uncluttered. It was especially nice having the pantry to store two weeks of Costco food out the way and drawers that were organized with everything we needed. The ice cube maker was a big bonus and the shade of the star fruit tree on the lanai meant we never needed to use the air conditioner. All in all, a wonderful place to stay and I would definitely return to this unit specifically. A perfect condo for us... in a central location."

  • Absolute Perfection! Stayed 8 Days...Did Not Want To Leave!

"There are so many special things to say about The Star Lookout Cottage. Walking passed it for the past 5 years on visits to Upcountry, we ogled it and could finally get a reservation this year! It is even better than my wildest dreams and I know it will be always in my heart. Already have our reservations for next March! Otherwise...not sure I could leave! Okay...the features! The cottage sits at around 3000' on the slopes of Haleakala. Expect weather! Beautiful breezes...sun...mist..clouds...down poring rain. That can all be in one day...or over several. The main room is very comfortable for looking out, reading, the large screen tv is here, fast wifi, the fully equipped kitchen, a full bath and the best raised sleeping nook enclosed by light curtains to use or not. The large decks are filled with chairs, the best 2 person hammock, a table. Incredible sunsets from here as well as delightful bird watching! We never used the inside wood stove, the outside fire pit or the outside hot tub! Amazed by the super cleanliness of everything! Silverware, best knives ever, luxurious linens! There is also a separate bedroom and incredible full bath that you access from the front porch. It has a full closet, plenty of unpacking space, a very comfy queen bed, night tables, and a most fabulous bathroom! Sandstone counter top...incredible shower, over counter sink! Tasteful and perfectly remodeled! We switched back and forth for sleeping! The stars from the 'star bed' in the living area are simply breathtaking...as was the light of the full moon, eventually. Planets! The Milky Way! It was great for us to have the option of the other room which was darker! I seriously had to force myself to sleep from the excitement of the night sky! Located on incredible Thompson Road, where very, very people have homes...Oprah's ranch estate is one of your nearest neighbors and it's .8 of a mile away. Great areas of Maui are easy to get to. We spend a few days in Wailea, here and then time in Hana. Clearly, we love peace and quiet. No bar scene, no crowds, no pools with slides here! Just the awesomeness of hiking trails, biking, birds, flowers, Mana Market, Yee's marvelous mangoes(okay, the stand is 50 minutes away in Kihei and worth the drive) and we love The General Store in Halimaile for lunch. We walk to very popular Grandma's Cafe for breakfasts from here. Longest review I have ever written! My only regret is having not stayed here before!"

  • Great Condo, Great Location!

"My wife and I stayed here for 7 nights and we loved it! The condo had everything we could have wanted for beach going(chairs, umbrellas , towels, beach bags for our goodies and even a football for some surf throw down). We enjoyed having a fully stocked kitchen(pots, pans, plates, cups, utensils, etc.)with updated appliances. We especially enjoyed being so close to 3 nice beaches that were very family friendly and we could swim with the sea turtles any time. There were plenty of places to eat within walking distance and short drives. All in all, I'd stay here again in a heartbeat! My first and last impression was, "this place is awesome!""

  • Great Studio in Wailea

"My husband and I stayed here March 2016. I'm not sure why the previous renter was so disappointed. The listing clearly states (with photos) that the unit is a studio with a kitchenette. Not too noisy, it is a condo, not a private residence. It was great to be able to have breakfast daily and a few simple meals. BBQ is close. Bathroom is large and the new bed was really comfortable! Great to have access to laundry. Air conditioner is a bonus-we didn't use. Well kept property, close to everything in Wailea, can walk from condo to shops, beach and restaurants, although it's nice to have a car to explore Maui. If you want full 5 star, book a room without kitchenette at the Four Seasons for $600/night. This condo is, as described and the best deal for anywhere in Wailea. With the money we saved, we were able to go out for a few very nice meals!"
