Great location! Wonderful home with lots of character and charm!
"I would come back here and stay anytime! The location is ideal for driving the Road to Hana or going up Haleakala. The house is beautiful with large rooms, comfortable beds and clean bathrooms.
One of my favorite parts, aside from the lovely Lindsey who oversees the house, is the outside showers. Coming back from after a day at the beach or a long drive along the Road to Hana and then bathing outside in the privacy of the outdoor showers was wonderful!
Be sure to check out the fence made of surfboards just down the road from the Inn. Be sure to sit and chat with Lindsey over a cup of coffee. Be sure to stay here is you want to get a feel for the real Hawaii."

"We found it to be a great location. 15 minutes before hana. Allows you to check in. Ditch your gear then continue on your site seeing. If youre doing a two night or more you can go to the falls then be closer to exit hana the following morning. I recommend driving around the back side rather than backtracking the rd to hana. You will see more ocean and scenery that direction. Its just rockier and dryer. But you will be glad you did. While in hana do not miss the state park black sand beach soon after home on your left. Incredible.
The national park hike to falls id skip and do the falls along the rd. Oeho pools and the bamboo on mile 6 instead. Time is precious and national park was disappointing.
Home was clean and well appointed. Enjoyed the movies. Jungle window was nice in shower but id add another curtain to give guests a choice. We arrived in the dark. Wasnt sure if neighbors were close or not. They werent.
I give it a solid 4 stars. Cool place."

"Martha's condo was a perfect choice for our vacation. Located on the beautiful, resort-free side of the island, it was quiet with a lovely view and a big yard for my 8-yr-old son to play in. A gate leads to a path to the beach. It's close to the road to Hana and just up the road from down-town Paia where you will find lovely shops and delicious food. The condo had everything we needed and more including beach chairs and snorkels. Martha's housekeeper was available if we had any questions and the condo caretaker was on site each morning. Definitely splurge on a meal at Mama's Fish House - it's a very special place.
Thank you Martha for sharing your lovely home!"

"We stayed in the studio apartment, with a beautiful lanai, great floral gardens, and welcoming hosts. We will definitely be going back to this peaceful oasis. The feeling of family cottage is my best description. Hawaii as it used to be.
If you want to relax, breathe, and forget the great wild world, this is the place. The unit was clean, all little dated, and charming. The hosts welcoming and accomodating and helpful without intrusion.
Location is upcountry, so restaurants and stores require a small drive, but a good map and willingness to explore will be rewarded by amazing vistas, friendly people, and a great time."
