  • Great location! Wonderful home with lots of character and charm!

"I would come back here and stay anytime! The location is ideal for driving the Road to Hana or going up Haleakala. The house is beautiful with large rooms, comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. One of my favorite parts, aside from the lovely Lindsey who oversees the house, is the outside showers. Coming back from after a day at the beach or a long drive along the Road to Hana and then bathing outside in the privacy of the outdoor showers was wonderful! Be sure to check out the fence made of surfboards just down the road from the Inn. Be sure to sit and chat with Lindsey over a cup of coffee. Be sure to stay here is you want to get a feel for the real Hawaii."

  • Off-The-Grid

"We stayed in Kihei our first couple of days on the island then switched over to Maui Chalet the last 4 days. It was incredible and a nice change from the city. Very secluded and the hosts - Steve and Jette were extremely accommodating. We had everything we needed and more. Cell phone use was very limited to certain areas of the house but that was also a good thing. More time to relax."

"Great setting with super large windows to enjoy the awesome views. Full rainbows every day due to the morning showers. Very convenient location and close to Makawao town."

  • We will be back!

"We were returning residents- our first visit in 3 years... we arrived to a house that made us feel so at 'home' in Hawaii! Even my teenage children felt like they had returned home- this home is a simple local style home, with a lei farm surrounding it- we hit the jackpot! Kili supplies more than enough for breakfasts and hidden in the closets are everything you can think of to make your trip easy- we spent a week here and talked about staying a month...but even if you just want to experience upcountry Maui for a few day...this is the place...easy access to everything upcountry! Don't have enough great things to say...but we know we will be back! (The only reason I did not give it a '5' was people tend to relate overly plush with a five- this is clean, simple and fully stocked)"
