  • Excellent Condo

"Our family travelled to Maui over Spring Break this year (March/2016). We had the pleasure of staying in HK111 and have to say it exceeded our expectations. The unit was very well stocked with everything you could need/want from a vacation rental. The Kitchen was well equipped and had many condiments, spices, oils & vinegars, which always makes cooking in a breeze. The King bed in the bedroom was very comfortable. The murphy bed was a bit hit with our children, having the extra bed meant they didn't have to sleep together. The outdoor closet had chairs, boogie boards, sand toys, coolers, sand mats. You name it, it was there! Excellent Condo. I recommend it! The owners were a pleasure to deal with, information was clear and helpful. Thank you for sharing your unit with us, we will definitely rent from you again! 10++"

  • Comfortable guest house

"We enjoyed our stay at Hale Manu for 2 nights in mid October. The guest house is comfortable and spacious. The kitchen is well maintained. We loved the outdoor grill. We bought steaks, lamb chops and chicken drumsticks at Mana Foods at Paia before heading out to Hana and BBQ for 2 dinners. Thai Food Truck is nearby (10 min. drive). Their curry fish over rice is delicious. Order one to eat there for lunch and another one to go, otherwise you will regret later. We were pretty lucky with the weather. It rained at night and early morning and was dry at day time. We had a good time at Haleakala National Park (about 25 min. drive), Pipiwai Trail and Bamboo Forest. It was fun to watch some daring people jumping off the cliff at Ohe’o Gulch. Hamoa Beach is small. Waioka Pond is such a beauty. After driving on Road to Hana with all the stressful curves the first day and a whole day of adventuring next day, Hale Manu was definitely a place that we wanted to come home to. The property manager is very nice. He put some fresh sweet star fruits in the fridge before our arrival and brought us some more the next day. Thank you, Hale Manu, for making our experience in Hana so delightful and memorable."

  • Cozy private cottage

"Valerie & Craig were perfect hosts for our recent October stay. Their cottage was as advertised. It was clean, cozy and a great location for those that want to avoid the big resorts but still want convenient access to great food, shopping, ocean views and beach access. Also, it is only a few miles from the start of the Road to Hana, which we found a big plus because after finishing the scenic but somewhat challenging drive we didn't have to drive another 30 or 60 minutes to a resort on the other side of Maui. We were anxious to snorkel with sea turtles during our trip to Maui. The public beach is less than a 5 minute walk from the cottage. The beach had several resident green sea turtles just hanging out. The cottage is surrounded with banana, avocado and orange trees. We highly recommend this alternative to a big resort or hotel."

  • Off-The-Grid

"We stayed in Kihei our first couple of days on the island then switched over to Maui Chalet the last 4 days. It was incredible and a nice change from the city. Very secluded and the hosts - Steve and Jette were extremely accommodating. We had everything we needed and more. Cell phone use was very limited to certain areas of the house but that was also a good thing. More time to relax."
