  • 6 days in paradise

"My husband and I enjoyed 6 days in Bob's wonderful condo. The place was clean, well-equipped, and had a fabulous view. Unfortunately, there is no beach out front, but that didn't bother us too much as we drove to our favorite snorkel spots (Kapalua Bay, Honolua Bay). So nice to have the kitchen and living areas to relax, and we enjoyed many hours on the lanai. Close to shopping and 15 mins. from Lahaina and 10 mins. from Whaler's Village. Can't be beat!"

  • Christmas and New Years in Kaanapali, Maui

"This Papakea condo is as advertised! The condo is on the second floor, with great views of the Papakea grounds, the Pacific Ocean, and Molokai in the distance. The condo is tastefully decorated and very clean with all of the amenities you will need. The kitchen includes an oven, microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator along with appliances such as a toaster, coffee maker, rice cooker, and microwave oven. The living area has comfortable seating and includes a dining table. The lanai has a lounge chair and an outdoor table and chairs. The unit is air conditioned, but A/C wasn't necessary during our stay in December/January. Just across the street from Papakea resort is a Times Supermarket and an ABC Store. We enjoyed using the Weber grills at Papakea grounds for some fun sunset cookouts. The grills and the grounds are extremely well maintained by the resort staff. There are also many good places to eat within a reasonable walking distance of the resort. During our vacation, we enjoyed a whale watch tour with the Pacific Whale Foundation, a luau at the Old Lahaina Luau, a PGA Tournament of Champions event at the Kapalua Plantation Course, a day at Haleakala National Park, and many more fun adventures. In 2015, we stayed at the Ritz Carlton in Kapalua. which was a very nice property. That said, if we vacation in Maui again, we would easily select Bob and Ramona's condo, as it met all of our needs so well! We especially want to thank Bob for being so easy to work with! He really does take care of his guests. Bob contacted us at the start of our stay and again immediately afterwards to make sure everything was to our liking. He provides exceptional customer service. Mahalo!"

  • Rest, Relaxation, Privacy, PEACEFUL

"We have had a long and hard year, which includes the death of our father. Before he died, we had a bucket list for what we would do when he got better. A family vacation in Maui was #1 on the list. After the dust settled, we decided to book the vacation in his memory, and I was appointed to locate the house. Thankfully, we found this one, and it was all that we hoped for and more. It has a ton of space, so we all had room to do our own thing. We had 3 teenagers and 4 adults. It's got loads of outdoor privacy, so we enjoyed the deck and pool to our heart's content. All of us with jobs work in customer service, so having peace, quiet and privacy was huge for us. We loved driving down the hill to hang at Kaanapali in the morning for snorkeling, and then half the group would come home to chill by the pool, while the remainder rode afternoon waves or explored other beaches. There are loads of beach accessories and towels, which made life easy. We went to Black Rock often for sunset, and it was just spectacular. We went to the Maui fish market many times and enjoyed family meals, grilling, laughing and lounging on comfy couches while the kids played pool. Bonus- the house had a great deal of staples, so we did not have to buy oil, sugar, etc. Two minor suggestions- get Roku for the TVs, so people can stream Netflix. Consider upgrading the queen beds- 2 were pretty firm and could benefit from a topper. Otherwise we would totally come back here, loved and appreciated all the customer support we got thru the process and feel well rested and relaxed after this much needed vacation !!!"

  • Wonderful Condo

"My wife and I stayed in this condo four years ago and loved it. This time we brough our kids (5 & 8) so that we could stay longer. The kitchen remodel is wonderful. The unit is very clean, comfortable, and quiet. The Whaler is an excellent property in a wonderful location. We enjoyed the Whaler's village, Black Rock, and of course the Tiki Bar. We enjoyed breakfast in the morning and bbq'd at night. No need to eat out as everything you need is provided in the kitchen and on the property. The tide was very strong while we stayed so we took our kids to Baby Beach which is a 5 min. drive. The reservation process was simple and fast. We will continue to stay in this unit whenever we vacation in Maui."
