  • The Westin Ka'anapali Ocean Resort Villas

"This was an unused timeshare booked through an independent property manager. I had very little interaction with the property manager prior to arrival which was nice, but I was a bit concerned that something could go wrong at check-in. Upon arrival, everything worked smoothly and much better than I could have hoped for. Our stay was correctly listed with the property and it took only minutes to check in. Everything I requested was honored (higher floor, away from construction, etc.). We got a room at Westin South on the south facing side so it was as far away as one could get from the construction on the far north end of the property. We had an ocean view condo, but it was only 1 in from oceanfront and on the 5th floor (2nd from the top) overlooking a park and the ocean- so as good a view of the ocean as you could get without paying for oceanfront. Unobstructed 180 degree views ocean to mountain. And the unit was slightly bigger than the other 1 bedrooms. Each building had a concierge who we found to be incredibly knowledgeable and helpful - recommending the best whale watching boat, places to watch the surfers and so on. Parking was a bit crowded but we always found a spot. The only complaint I can think of is there was not much shade area offered in the lounge areas around the pool for those of us who burn easily. More/bigger umbrellas would be nice. But all in all, an excellent property and a wonderful stay."

  • Maui Kai 905 is fantastic

"The Maui Kai is a very comfortable, low-key condo building with about 75 units. Great location right on the beach. Easy walking distance to farmer's market, grocery store, great dining and shopping sites. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Unit 905 is a one-bedroom condo on the 9th floor, beautifully decorated with a lot of local hand-crafted artwork. Very up-to-date and well-equipped kitchen. They even have a conch shell so we could join in the sunset chorus every evening. Very comfortable with a fantastic view. We loved the views of the ocean and the sound of the waves. We booked through the owners who were very prompt in all our communications and very considerate in helping us schedule our visit. They were a real pleasure to work with. We recommend unit 905 very highly and hope to stay there again soon."

  • Beautiful Maui condo

"To celebrate my wife's 70th birthday, the family decided to come to Maui and rented this property. We would be remiss in not giving it a five- star rating as it was absolutely perfect. Its oceanfront location lent itself to beautiful sunsets. The three-bedroom/ three-bath combination was extremely comfortable. One of the biggest pluses was the individual air-conditioning systems in each of the bedrooms as well as the main area of the condo. Additionally, the customer service at the front registration area of the Papakea was resort was very accommodating. I would highly recommend choosing L403 at the Papakea as your next destination to Maui! Aloha!!"
