  • Best Condo in Maui

"Great condo that overlooks the ocean. Condo is within 12 feet of water. The condo layout is great with lots of storage space. It has a pull down bed that is very comfortable and the sofa pulls out to make a bed. We have been to Maui many times over the years and finally landed on the Maui Kai as the place we like to stay because of the closeness of the water and every condo has an ocean veiw. Of all the condos we have stayed at the Maui Kai this was the nicest. They have thought of everything for you to have from nicechest, beach chairs, etc.... I would highly recommend this unit."

  • OUR 7TH VISIT TO HAWAII. BY FAR THE BEST PLACE TO STAY

"Unit 408 at the Maui Kai is great! It's right on the ocean and being a corner unit you look up the beach for miles. When the wind is blowing you see the plams swaying and the waves coming in and you hear the roar of the ocean. It's true PARADISE. You never want to leave. The unit is very comfortable, the king size bed is very comfortable and the roar of the ocean will put you to sleep in no time. I have read all the other reviews and they are spot on. You can get other units in the same building and pay more than twice as much and not get these awesome views. And saving the best for last the owners are great!! Neal is the nicest person."

  • Perfect for all occasions

"My wife and I just spent a wonderful week in Stans condo. I can't tell you enough how perfect this location is for a couple to get lost in the ocean, the view and each other! We spent hours watching whales in the morning and evening. The view is out of a movie at sunset. During the day we walked right down to the beach and snorkeled for hours. It's also a short drive to plenty of shopping areas(Whalers Village), golfing and snorkeling. The accommodations were perfect for cooking on the bbq, or the stove(although we did not use the stove). Plenty of pots, pans, cooler(s), and wine glasses which were both glass and plastic depending on the time of day :) I didn't expect fresh towels and fresh sheets each day going in, so when we had this service it was absolutely wonderful. While the maui kai does offer coffee in the morning, I loved my morning at Java Jazz just next to the condo. It's a short walk and wonderful coffee in the morning. We also went over to Java Jazz for happy hour and at night once for live music. It may not be for everyone, but we loved the atmosphere. Lastly, the we loved the location of the condo in terms of beaches and people. There was a good mix of locals, tourists and those who are transported locals(living there part time). It felt much more at home than the large luxury resorts. I couldn't recommend Stan or his condo enough, and we can't wait to go back. * I have seen people mention the walkway and people walking by. It really isn't an issue. People walk by but most do not even look up or if they do it's a smile or a nod and they move along. It certainly isn't a parade of people that would cause distractions or annoyance."

  • Good stay

"This property was clean and well maintained. I felt a little disappointed upon arrival because I thought I was staying in a little cottage. I'm sure it was my fault and I didn't read good enough. It is a very dated resort but the room was very updated and clean! The place was not as immaculate as the pictures but it was still pretty nice! Snorkel gear and a boogy board were provided which was great! If your a person who likes to have a very cool room this unit is not for you. We like to sleep with the air atleast 70 degrees. On our arrival the AC was not turned on and it was extremely hot inside. I was upset because it should have been turned on prior to our arrival, it took a very long time to cool down. The air condition could not keep up with the room and when set on 70 it ran the whole 5 days we stayed. I told the front desk a few times but they never said anything so I assumed it was normal. It was very hot the whole time. If your a person who liked privacy it is a bit uncomfortable having a camera on the balcony because it feels like a violation of privacy. The view was amazing!! Not a beach front which is clearly stated in the description but the beach is just feet away from the Maui Kai. However it is a ocean front and is beautiful! Over all we had a very good stay, staff was very friendly and willing to answer any questions! We would stay again if the air condition was a little cooler."
