  • Perfect Location in Maui

"This property holds up to each and every picture, every amenity, every activity, and spectacular ocean access and views just a short walk from your lanai door! As soon as we returned I looked at available dates to book this same unit next year. The location @ Honua Kai Resort had everything we needed: world famous Duke's Restaurant that served HULA PIE, a boardwalk connecting each and every property, restaurant, and shops along Kaanapali Beach, coral reef decorated with beautiful Hawaiian marine life including turtles, colorful fish and variety of urchins, and easy first floor access to your 'home away from home'! Who could ask for more? We also enjoyed downtown Lahaina, Kapalua Bay, DT Fleming Beach, and Hana. Konea 105 has it all. Quick and easy beach and pool access, fully equipped kitchen and laundry, grocery store and yummy Slappy Cakes breakfast restaurant within walking distance, and clean modern and beautifully decorated unit."

  • Great place, great location

"This condo was lovely and spacious, with everything you could need. 2 full bathrooms with spa bathtubs, great kitchen, beautiful balconies, incredibly comfortable beds and pillows, and-- as other people have mentioned-- a whole closet of beach essentials: chairs, toys, umbrellas, boogie boards... you name it! The condo and the resort itself are both in very convenient locations. The room is the perfect distance to the elevator making it incredibly quick and easy to get back and forth from the room to the pool, beach, and restaurants. The resort has pretty much everything you could want, but if you do want to venture out, Lahaina and Whalers Village are both very close. There's a lovely walking path by the beach as well that will take you past other resorts and restaurants. The in-house restaurant Duke's has great food and fantastic service. All-in-all, highly recommend!"

  • fell asleep each night listening to the waves of the ocean (that are literally 10 yards away)

"we spent 2-glorious weeks in maui, and stayed at maui kai the entire time. the unit is finished and equipped with everything that we needed to enjoy our vacation. the title of this review reflects the units proximity to the ocean. with a view of the sunset from the lanai that is amazing. we liked that maui kai is located a little north of the hustle and bustle of ka'anapali beach, choosing instead to beach hop at the dozens of unique beaches located to the north and south on the west coast. our "default" beach is located a 10 or 15 minute walk south of the condo at kahekili park. we ended several days falling asleep on that beach. the people that work at maui kai are extremely pleasant and were attentive to all of our needs. the housekeeping service was a pleasant surprise. the pool area was a great place to cool off at the end of the day, or to soak sore muscles in the hot tub :) the condo is a 5-minute walk to several restaurants and a grocery store that are all reasonably priced for maui. we walked down to The Fish Market (highly recommended) several times and got take out, and enjoyed dinner in the lanai. maui kai was a great fit for our vacation to maui, and i'm sure we'll be back in the future, Wally & Carolyn O."
