  • Cleanliness + Details. This unit exceeds all expectations.

"If you've ever stayed in any other vacation rental, you know how aware you can be of a lack of cleanliness and a lack of the things that make you comfortable in your own home. So many of the other reviews have focused on the cleanliness of this unit and how easy it is to deal with Cindy. Yes. I share those views. And as others have written, the Whaler itself is a beautiful and secure facility and located on a family friendly stretch of beach. Since others have written about them, I'd like share a list of the details specific to this unit that made me feel comfortable and that I've missed in other rentals. 1. The tub/shower has a wand. 2. The tub/shower has a ledge where one can rest a foot. Combined with #1, it makes it so much easier to shower for this older body. 3. Although there is one wash basin, the counter top is big enough for two people to groom at once. 4. The closet is big with shelves and drawers and space for luggage. This is the first time we've ever had more than enough hangers. 5. The kitchen has the right tools for actually cooking. 6. All the kitchen appliances feel new and fresh and up-to-date. 7. The king bed feels really new and is very comfortable. 8. There are a range of pillows to suit every preference. I like 'em thick and firm and rarely find what I want even at luxury downtown hotels. The Whaler 264 has got 'em. 9. The flat screen is about as big (44" class?) as the space can hold. It was plenty big enough for us. It was a Samsung with a very bright picture. 10. A BluRay player, not just a DVD is provided. There's also cable of course. 11. The cable based Internet service is fast enough for anything you'd want to do. Much better than DSL. It's complementary (included) of course. 12. Great view of the Whaler gardens and Black Rock. (Often gives a rainbow in the morning). 13. Substantial upholstered pieces for sitting. I'm sure others would have their own list. But these are the things that keep us coming back."

  • Unit #112 at the Whaler never disappoints

"We just returned from another 2 week trip to Kaanapali Maui HI. We always stay at the Whaler Condo's right on the beach. We stay in unit #112 any time we can. It's on the ground floor so you just step out onto your patio and then onto the beach. From the patio you can watch the divers dive off black rock. It is a short walk to Whalers Village to shop and all the best restaurants. There is a shuttle that will take you into Lahaina if you don't have a car. The unit is one bedroom, 2 bathroom and it works perfectly for the 5 of us every time. I highly recommend it!! Call Blue Moon Rentals to book it!!"

  • Clean, comfortable, fully stocked, beautiful views!

"First of all, this was without a doubt the best vacation we have ever experienced. Jan was very quick with every message response from the first inquiry to the final refund of our security deposit. This is a great unit at the Whaler situated on the 9th floor with views of both the sunset on the white sand beach of Kaanapali and the sunrise of the West Maui Mountains. Everything in this unit was exactly as described in the pictures and exceeded our expectations in every way! The unit was extremely clean when we arrived. The kitchen is up to date with granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, utensils, plates, wine glasses, pots, pans, food storage containers, toaster, knives, spices, and more! All you would need to cook every meal just like at home. The king size bed is extremely comfortable and is situated to be able to wake up each morning to the sunrise over the Mountains. The couch and chair are also very comfortable and provide views of the beach. The balcony has enough room with a lounge chair, chairs and table over looking the gardens below and is excellent for early morning or late night views of the beach. The bathroom is up to date with granite countertop and stand up shower stall. There is a large walk in closet with lots of drawers and clothes hangers. There is even a cooler, beach chairs, and umbrella. We enjoyed cooking several evening dinners down by the BBQ's over looking the beach! In our opinion, it was better than paying for an expensive dinner at one of the nearby restaurants. Even though this unit is situated next to the elevator, it is very well insulated. We never heard any sounds from other guests or the rooms above or adjacent to us. This unit has plenty of room for 2 people and felt like we were at home, except with fabulous views and ocean sounds! The Whaler is an excellent place to stay if you are looking for a condo on the beach. This particular unit is one of the best at the Whaler resort!"
