  • Perfect location!

"Karin's condo at the Whaler was the perfect place for me and the kids to take a break! First, I loved that we could self-park below the building and take the elevator directly to the 4th floor. The kitchen was completely stocked - we were able to successfully cook several meals in the condo, which saved us lots of money (and grief from picky eaters!). After exploring the kitchen, I took note of several other characteristics of the condo - REAL carpet - not hotel-grade indoor-outdoor carpet.... it was so comfortable to walk around the condo! The closet inside the front door contains several boogie boards, umbrellas, beach chairs, sand toys, and more! The living area was ample and comfortable. My son slept on the sofabed - it was quite loud and not terribly comfortable, but it was functional and clean. The next thing I discovered was the lanai - The ocean view was spectacular! I fully utilized the table, chairs, and chaise that are provided. The grounds of the Whaler are well-maintained and we enjoyed seeing lots of plumeria and palm trees. I decided to look for the bedroom - but before I found it, I discovered the laundry room - It has a dated washer and dryer but they work very well. Also in the laundry room I discovered a small library, several board games, and extra bedding. From the laundry room, I wandered to the bathroom which was clean - I was a little surprised to find that toiletries were limited - there was shampoo but no conditioner - and we had to purchase toilet paper - but I was able to pick up some at the store. The bedroom was private, cool, and had its own thermostat and ceiling fan. It was a comfortable room with a large king-size bed. The bed is very firm and loud, but functional (definitely not what I'd describe as "comfortable" or "plush.") The best part of the condo is its location - literally steps to the best part of Ka'anapali beach - and within walking distance of anything you could need or want. It's a few hundred feet to Black Rock, it's next door to Whaler's Village with shopping and dining options. The on-site pool is wonderful and there are ample chaises and cabanas to relax on. All of the Whaler staff that we encountered were helpful, pleasant, and welcoming. Will/Would I stay here again? Absolutely - Definitely."

  • ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!

"I surprised my husband with a trip to Maui for his 50th birthday and wanted the "perfect" condo that was oceanfront. I definitely found it - #1017 in the Aston Mahana, owned by Joe Falletta. The photos online are gorgeous, but it is even BETTER in person. The view is outstanding and with the mirrors throughout, I felt like I was always looking outside at the beautiful ocean. You can see Lanai and Molokai from the condo and watch the sun set every night. The condo was not only beautifully furnished but had more than I expected for us to use like coolers, beach chairs, kitchen utensils and such. I HIGHLY recommend Joe Falletta and this location. Actually, I have already referred two friends to Joe and the Aston Mahana. Thank you for an amazing week's stay at your place Joe! We LOVED it!!"

  • Great place to stay!

"We stayed for 5 days in this unit with our toddler. Everything you need is there, beach toys, towels, etc. Walking to shops, food and beaches were great. Perfect toddler beach and playground just down the street. Unit was clean and ocean views were great. Awesome facility with pools, hot tubs, shuffle board, golf. The air conditioning worked but was rarely needed. The lanai does not get much sun but there were always lots of beach chairs by the ocean to enjoy the sun. Parking was easy and very close to room. Overall we loved the unit and location and would stay again!"

  • Lovely West Maui Condo

"We had a wonderful week in West Maui, and this 3BR 3Bath condo was perfect for our family -- 3 couples and our 10-month-old grandbaby. Being on the ground level with our own little private lawn next to our lanai was a plus, as was being so close to the pool. The whole place was nicely appointed, the kitchen lacked nothing (and even included some basic spices, olive oil, vinegar, etc), the beds were super comfortable (now with very nice linens), and everything was spotless when we arrived. The boogie boards and snorkeling equipment were a bonus. If you're traveling with little ones, I recommend renting baby equipment ahead of time: Akamai Mothers got the crib and highchair in place before we arrived, and their bag of age-appropriate toys and books kept our little guy entertained. In the morning we loved taking the Beach Walk to the far end of the Ka'anapali strip (6 miles round trip) and also the more dramatic Kapalua Coast Trail from Kapalua beach to Fleming beach (3 miles round-trip). I highly recommend this condo for anyone, and the resort is especially ideal for families with little kids."
