  • A Greaat Time at the Mahana

"I have been coming to the Mahana for over 20 years, and still love it. Every unit is ocean front. It is off the beaten path, but close enough to the snorkeling, (just south of The Mahana, maybe 50 feet). A supermarket is a nice 5 minute walk away. The unit is nice, clean, updated flooring and appliances. Cooked 6 out of 7 dinners on the bbq or stove top. Speaking of bbq's there are a total of 8, 3 in a smoking zone and 5 by the pool. Never had to wait. Swimming pool is cleaned every morning and does not have that typical heavy chlorine smell and taste. If you are into hiking, all you have to do is get up to Kapalua Resort and you have a choice of hikes from 7.5 mile Kapalua ridge hike to walks along the coast. If you want the night life, Kaananapali Beach hotels and restaurants are only a few miles south, with Lahania just a few mile further south. Have tried other resorts but keep coming back to The Mahana."

  • Just as expected.........No, even better!!!

"We booked this unit based on the location and great reviews, but when we arrived it was even better than our expectations. The unit is on the corner of the third floor, so it has a great view of the ocean and a view of the pool area. The third floor is a great height for seeing people, yet high enough not to be bothered by them. We had two couples staying in the unit, and there was so much room we could have easily had a third couple. I could go on and on, but basically you can't go wrong here. We have stayed at five other complexes in Maui and this is our favorite to date. It's right at the end of the boardwalk so there isn't too much foot traffic like the areas further south, yet it's close enough for a nice walk to Duke's, Black Rock, or Whaler's Village. If you are a beach goer or snorkeler, the beach directly in front of the unit isn't usable for sunning or snorkeling, but just south of the unit the beach opens up to an uncrowded beautiful location. You walk to the south end of the complex down to the beach and park your chairs, towels, and ice chest (which all come with the unit). It's close enough to walk back to your unit if you need anything. The grass area in front of the complex is also great for sunning, and the pool was never crowded, sparkling clean, and an option for those who don't like going into the ocean, but want to be in Hawaii."

  • A beautiful place in a great location!!

"We loved staying at the Paki Maui! The location is fantastic! Very close to anything you would need (little shops, grocery store, restaurants, pizza place, gas station) and a short distance from the major beaches. It is right on the water, so you can enjoy the sunrise and sunset from the balconys and hear the lovely sound of the waves crashing. The condo is just as described/pictured and perfect for a small family! The size was great, nice and big with lots of space. We had 3 adults and 2 small children and there was lots of room! The condo is stocked up with anything you would need; we used the beach towels, beach chairs, cooler and beach bag on a daily basis. The kitchen had everything and all we had to do was go to the grocery store on the first day and we cooked most of our meals in the condo. The unit was clean and newly renovated and looked great. The condo complex was kept very clean and everyone was very friendly. Parking was ok, we always found a spot. There was a car parked in the handicapped spot (which we needed) that didn't have a permit and the front desk dealt with that right away. Being right in the beach was awesome! Every night we would walk down to the grass and sit on the chairs and watch the sunset. The snorkelling outside is good, there is a narrow channel between reefs that has some amazing fish and 2 turtles that we saw everyday. On a calm day, it's all you need. There is a park right next door for the little ones but my kids just loved to hang out on the little area of sand along the channel. There are lots of little sea creatures and gentle waves to keep the kids busy! The pool is a perfect size, it was never crowded and was a nice temperature. A few people barbecued, we never did, but it looked easy enough. We always met nice people at the pool too! We always found a few loungers on the grass and it was never too crowded along the water. Amy was great to deal with, so helpful and she responded to my emails quick. I needed baby equipment and she recommended MauiBaby and they arranged to have what I needed set up before I got there and picked up after I left, which was fantastic! I contacted Amy to have bug spraying put on hold, because we have two small children, and she dealt with that right away. I can't say enough good things about our stay! We will be coming back and are looking forward to booking our next vacation to Maui! Thanks Amy!!!"
