  • A 5 star experience!

"This property was exactly as described with no disappointments. It exceeded our expectations and was perfect in everyway. It had everything you could possibly need and more. I had the opportunity to meet Jeanne in person and she is a wonderful welcoming person, who has honestly put her heart and soul into the experience we had. The resort is perfect as well...pools, jacuzzis, resturant on site and the most beautiful beach in Maui! I told Jeanne I really wanted to swim with a sea turtle and she mentioned they actualy swim around the beach we are on regularly. She was dead on, we spotted one right in front if us and grabbed the snorkels to see it. It was a beautiful experience. On that note the location is amazing for snorkeling! So many fish to see right there and the water is very calm and crystal clear. I would come back in a heartbeat, and wouldnt want to stay anywhere else!"

  • Nice condo in a great location.

"The last time I stayed at The Whaler was in 1980. The property has remained beautiful and they are updating everything. The condo we stayed in was beautiful. The kitchen well stocked with just about everything you need. The only thing I would add would be plastic "sippee" cups with lids for sodas to take with you to the pool or beach for keeping sand out of your drink. We used a cabana every day at the beach. The folks at the beach activities shack were very helpful and the price of the cabana very reasonable. The beach area is beautiful as well and is made for stand up paddle boarding, kayaking etc. The snorkeling there was okay, although I would suggest walking or driving just next door to the public beach area for a few more reefs to see fish and turtles. We did see a couple of turtles off our beach as well as a few larger reef fish, just not as many next door. The pool area is a little small, although we didn't really mind as we prefer to be out on the beach. One thing we would suggest is if you go out in the evening get back before 8 if you want to park underneath the building, out of the sun. It is a quick walk to the Whalers village where you can shop or eat at either The Hula Grill or Leilani's, both have good food and fresh fish every day. If you feel like driving, head out to Leoda's in the Olawalu area. We ate there three times. Great food & home made pies! Well worth the drive. We would definitely stay here again and suggest it to our friends too!"

  • Perfect vacation

"My wife and I just returned from a week in Perry's villa. Our experience couldn't have been better! We typically stay at Honua Kai each year but this was our first rental via an owner... We plan to book Perrys Villa every opportunity we get! The little amenities such as beach chairs and umbrellas made for a very relaxing and stress free time. Perry and Maria at the hotel, made the experience a breeze. Great location on a beautiful resort. Highly recommend!"

  • First Family Trip to Maui

"We had a wonderful time during our stay at the Honua Kai resort. We got in late in the evening and had no problems retrieving the key from the lock box at the Maui Realty office, across the street from the resort. The one-bedroom condo we rented was perfect for our family of four. Location was great and the resort pools were a hit with the kids. We'll definitely be back!"
