  • When can we go back???

"We stayed at Honua Kai, booking through the hotel, about 4 years ago and really loved the facilities. Traveling with a family to Hawaii, we find a full kitchen to be a must! Being able to eat some meals in really helps reduce the cost and time consumption that you incur if you eat out every meal. We were a bit hesitant to book through VRBO, not knowing how reliable or well kept up the rental would be. Our whole family is now scheming as to when we can plan our next trip!!! This rental was everything we had hoped for and MORE! Roomy, clean, well stocked, amazing views, spacious lanai, comfortable beds, laundry facilities. Truly, we did not have a single complaint! Having the additional supplies like boogie boards, beach chairs and snorkel gear was such a plus. I have already recommended this rental to several friends and family and will not hesitate to return in the future."

  • Had a GREAT vacation!

"We had a great time at unit #340 in the Hokulani Building and enjoyed our stay very much. The unit was very spacious and the ocean view was perfect. KBM was very helpful throughout our stay and we can't wait to come back!"

  • First time vacation rental

"Unit is very peaceful, and provided a low key, less touristy atmosphere. Stayed for 7 wonderful nights. I was skeptical during the process prior to our trip, but once we checked in, everything fell into place. Great first time experience! LOVE the location! White sand beach and clear blue warm waters! The studio unit was bigger than I expected. Everything about this unit was larger than expected. The length of the unit and the high ceilings make it feel very spacious. The wood beam at the top of the ceiling is a great touch. The bathroom/changing room is a good size. Plenty of mirrors and lighting. Very comfortable for 2 people. The lanai had plenty of space to hang dry clothes. I like a firm bed, so the murphy bed was great after a long day outdoors. No issues with the AC unit. Carpet felt surprisingly plush (soft on the foot). I believe I am heavy footed, so I quickly noticed that the floors seemed solid, so I wouldn't disturb the unit below us, and no noise complaints of neighboring units either. That's a big PLUS for this unit. Solid floors and walls; noise is not an issue. And there are plenty of parking spots available. No hassle of loading/unloading the car. Love this unit! If we come back to Kaanapali, I would stay here again."

  • Family friendly, clean, well equipped

"First off, let me say we were welcomed by a nice Aloha spirit goodie bag loaded with treats from the island. Such a nice welcoming thing for the owner to do! The unit is located at the front of the complex right by the lobby and parking which makes it so convenient for golf cart pick up to the beach, loading and unloading, trips to the cafe/sundry store inside the lobby. However, it is still secluded enough that you still feel away from any distracting hustle and bustle. The view from the patio when the construction is finished will be very nice. I think one would be able to see the pool and the ocean when it is done. Right now, we have a slight view of the construction but still have a nice shot at the ocean. The construction crew is only here Monday-Friday 9-5 with breaks for lunch. So for us, it has not been an issue at all. We are rising early because we are from Eastern Standard Time so we are done with breakfast before they start. When we eat lunch, they are breaking for lunch, and when we eat dinner they are done for the day. All the rest of the time we are out enjoying the beach or other wonderful island sites. The kitchen is incredibly equipped with everything you could possibly need. There is a washer and dryer that is so practical for families. There are boogie boards, a beach chair, and other assorted beach things available for use. There is a small patio grill at the unit that we used for quick lunches and then bigger BBQ grills very close by on the property for use as well. The beach cabana is very nice with showers, restrooms, chairs, and towels available for use. We are a family of 5 and the unit is plenty big enough. All the kids have their own bed and we have 2 showers which is great when we are all trying to get ready. This place has been like a bit of paradise for us and we will be sad to leave. Hopefully we will make it back some day and we would definitely stay at this unit again. Mahalo! 🌺"
