  • Can't go wrong!

"We stayed at condo #807 for a week, May 18-25, 2016 and it was fantastic. Dolores is very kind and helpful. Basic bathroom and kitchen amenities but everything you could need. Big comfy bed which is right next to the lanai so we slept with the door open every night and listened to the waves. The lanai is AMAZING. Plenty of room for 2 and just above the palm trees so you have a 180 degree unobstructed view (can see all of Molokai and most of Lanai'i). The front door has a screen door too that locks, so much of the time while we were in the condo we left the front door open (with the screen door locked at night) and the lanai door open which created a nice funnel through the condo. The trades were blowing pretty much constantly so we had a nice cool room to sleep in every night. Only one downside to our trip: The beach was eroded quite a bit this year and as a result the grass/beach on our property was unusable the entire time. It was a bit noisy as they had a back hoe working all day moving around huge sandbags; this all started the day we arrived so we could not use that half of the property. Luckily the beach runs from Valley Isle south for about 500 yards and its perfect! Great for swimming/snorkeling/paddleboarding. We also saw a TON of turtles. If we were on the first few floors it would have been a nightmare, but for us a minor inconvenience.... Construction supposed to last 3 weeks. We would definitely recommend this unit. Great location, great unit, great owner. We will definitely be going back!"

  • Fantastic location for golfers and snorklers - oh and the sea turtle neighbors!

"The location of this property is terrific. It's not in the middle of a resort - which we definitely did not want - and there are bars, restaurants, small groceries with surprising selections of items all within a short walk. Kahana is surrounded by nice beaches, which we found rarely crowded in any way (possibly time of year - we were there first week in October 2016). The snorkeling right off the beaches is unbelievable. We paid for a snorkeling tour and didn't see anywhere near the variety of fish, and not one turtle, that we saw at any beach within 5 miles in either direction of the unit. The unit itself is lovely, as everyone has noted. The bed is very comfortable, the kitchen well appointed, the views of Molokai and Lana'i awesome. The variety of amenities - both indoors and outdoors - are very thoughtful. And I can't possibly say enough about the sea turtles! It's so much fun to just sit on the lanai with a cocktail and watch them float towards the sea wall shopping for dinner! The only reason I wouldn't give this rental a 5 is the ventilation. When we opened the door to the unit upon arrival, we were blasted with stiflingly hot air, even though the a/c unit was set to 60. We spent the first 3 days trying to figure out the "system" of what to open, and when, to get an actual breeze moving. I even downloaded an ambient air app to make sure it wasn't all in my head! Getting air moving usually required leaving the front door open - not just the vents - with the back sliding doors wide open. After a few nosey peeks from neighbors we decided to stop leaving the front door open! When the temperature leveled out, the unit was almost completely perfect. The sliding glass doors and screens are a wee bit tricky, but the screens pop right back in place and the doors can be conquered. Overall we had a thoroughly lovely time, much based on this little jewel! Hope to be back in the future! Thanks, Jill!"

  • Loved it!!!

"This was our first time staying in a condo on the island and we loved it!! The location was great and the condo was perfect for the two of us! We were very pleased with the accommodations and all of the things we were able to use in the condo. The only thing we had a hard time with were the ghost ants! They seemed to be everywhere! We learned the first day not to leave any sort of food out on the counter or even in the microwave. We asked the front desk about it and she explained that they were very hard to keep out of the condo and offered to come have it sprayed. We didn't want to have to worry about it so we declined and just dealt with it for a few days. Other than that, we truly loved the property! Morning walks out to watch the turtles and afternoon swims in the very well kept pool were amazing! The book of suggestions was another great perk! We had breakfast at The Gazebo and enjoyed the beaches! Thank you for sharing your home with us! We will definitely stay here again if the opportunity arises!"
