  • The perfect Condo for Couples that want excellent ocean views

"My wife and I just love this condo complex. This is the second time for us to visit Maui along with the second time staying at this condo complex. This complex is in our opinion, the best on the island for privacy, proximity to the ocean, and location. We love staying in the northern West Maui area because of how close we are to all of the wonderful beaches and snorkel spots along the West Maui coast. You are about a 10 to 15 min drive from Lahaina with all of its wonderful restaurants. This particular Condo was wonderful. We loved everything about the condo you could think of. HUGE Lanai, great bathtub, dishwasher, ocean views in the entire condo, and pretty spacious for a studio. We even enjoyed the beach chairs and cooler that was provided. Thanks for the Hawaiian coffee that was left for us! The only downfall to this condo, and I debated with myself if I should rate this a 4 or 5 star is because of the parking. The condo complex has tight parking overall, but the spot for this condo was particularly terrible. The spot is so tight between the walls of the building we had terrible time even opening our doors. We would have to unload our car outside of the parking spot then pull in and crawl out of the little spot it allowed me because I could only open my door slightly. Luckily our rental car already had scratches on it, so pushing the door against the side walls wasn't a big deal. I would not rent this condo if you are renting something bigger like a truck or SUV. You will have a terrible time with parking. Otherwise we loved this condo and would recommend it for couples. We can't wait to visit again one day!"

  • This place was absolutely amazing and exceeded our expectations!

"Jill was so helpful along the way and always answered our emails quickly. The condo is absolutely amazing and feels very private. The view is incredible--the pictures don't do it justice! Everything about this vacation rental was perfect and easy. We will definitely be back! Thank you to Jill for making this a wonderful trip!"

  • Whales, rainbows, or turtles?

"As we are sitting on the lanai taking a break from the sun and reflecting on our visit so far, would it be a complaint to say the double rainbow that sprang up right in front of this place interfered with our view of the waves rolling in? Probably not. Aside from the multitude of double rainbows, another minor flaw about the Sands of Kahana beach is the sea turtles carelessly taking up good sun bathing spots on the beach. Rude. It would be nice to sleep in on vacation but the sound of the waves rolling in all day and all night make that impossible. Who wants to wake up to that?? Would we ever come back? We don't ever want to leave!! Good thing we have 6 more nights to enjoy this perfect place. We will be able to go to fleetwoods, miso phat sushi, see more rainbows, lay on the beach next to the turtles, and listen to the waves and try to figure out how we will ever be able to do this again. We will! Another outstanding musician we saw was Willie K. It was a performance of ukulele and guitar that I'm glad we happened upon but is worth seeing more than once. Thank you Judy!!!"

  • Great Stay

"This is a great place for two couples. The bedrooms are almost identical, both with lani access. One shares the lani with the living area and the other is private. Other than that the rooms are almost the same. The place is very up to date and is right on the ocean. The BBQ's work well and the pool is nice. I liked the location as it was relatively close to slaughterhouse beach, and Honolua Bay in one direction and Lahaina in the other. There is a dedicated underground parking spot for your car so no hunting for a vacancy. Like other have said, there is no AC and when we went in September is was a bit warm, but they have ceiling fans and a stand up fan. That would be my only draw back, but why close all the windows up with that beach feet from the door!"
