  • Great stay!

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We lived the unit, walking to the coastal trail everyday and jumping from the favorite though was snorkeling at Kapalua. Only thing missing was a jacuzzi....but we loved it! Great views!!"

  • A most enjoyable honeymoon!

"My husband and I, two early 30-somethings, spent the first leg of our honeymoon on Maui at the Kapalua Bay Villas. This unit did not disappoint. A short drive to groceries, a moderate walk to the beach and all the luxury one would want after traveling all the way from Washington DC to Maui. The kitchen and bathroom were lovely, very clean and modern. The kitchen came with all the cooking utensils you could need and a spice rack. There were also beach chairs, umbrellas and coolers available right in the storage area off the lanai. I can't say enough about all the conveniences of the unit. If I ever come back we are staying here again. Things not to be missed: the turtles and snorkeling at Kapalua bay, the extra large tv in the living room (perfect for a late night or early morning), and last but certainly not least- the amazing view with floor to ceiling Windows. Kapalua gets more rain than some other parts of Maui but usually only late at night and in the mornings. I also think this gave us wonderful rainbows almost daily. You can ride around Maui in pursuit of various beaches and restaurants but this is where you want to come home - and at half the price of a weeklong stay at resort with a mere garden view - it can't be beat in terms of value."

  • our favourite kapalua bay villa by far!

"If you are looking for a high quality, beautifully appointed ocean-front condo with extraordinary views, you've found it. We've stayed at kapalua bay villas a few times in the past, and always opted for "gold" ocean view condos. This one was by far the best we've stayed at, for a number of reasons: 1. The view. I cannot emphasize this enough. We have been lucky enough to enjoy many ocean front vacations in beautiful accommodations, and I have never seen anything like the view from the second story bedroom. It is a truly panoramic view of the ocean and the point in front which includes a bird sanctuary. The windows are floor to ceiling on two sides of the enormous master bedroom. We slept with the blinds open every night, and watched the sun come up in the east every day. In the evening, you can see the sunset from the same room, and there are two seating areas to watch the ocean in different directions. Magical. There are louvered windows for cross breeze, and it was amazing to listen to the wind and the ocean and the birds every night. Even though the weather was very hot, no air conditioning was required. Absolutely amazing (and I am not prone to hyperbole). 2. The owner, Don. (I had to put the view first, but Don was an equally extraordinary host). He was very responsive, very helpful, and very accommodating (not to mention extremely charming with a good sense of humour). A real class act and a true pleasure to deal with. 3. The condo itself. Beautiful (photos really don't do it justice - the place has a high end Tommy Bahama kind of feel to it), and really well stocked so you basically just have to buy groceries and enjoy. 4. The location. Kapalua is our favourite part of our favourite island. Two amazing beaches (one which is fab for snorkelling, the other for surfing) in walking distance via an ocean front path that is literally right in front of the condo. Two of our favourite restaurants in Maui within walking distance (Merriman's, which has amazing food and a gorgeous sunset, and Sansei for sushi). Tip:. the Montage Spa (a 5-minute walk) lets you buy a pass for unlimited fitness classes (i.e. yoga, pilates, spinning, etc)and the facility is absolutely gorgeous (with huge and well equipped gym); and the instructors are great. But there is so much to do right outside your door as well, that this is just a bonus for the fitness enthusiasts. Thanks, Don. You'll be our first call when we plan our next visit."

  • Perfect!

"My husband and I stayed in this villa for 11 nights, and it ticked all the boxes... well furnished, with everything you need in the kitchen, and with respect to linens, beach chairs, eskis, music, etc... we loved having the extra half bathroom as well. The ensuite is large w ample cupboard space... a real plus! The view is lovely and proximity to pool/BBQ a plus as well. The resort itself is amazing... great restaurants within walking distance, an incredible spa, and of course a short walk to Kapalua Bay for lovely snorkelling, swimming, paddle boarding. (BYO gear or rent from kiosk at beach). We also had my 73 year old mum join us for part of stay. She took the sofa bed and said very comfortable. We will absolutely return!!"
