"We have stayed at Honua Kai in the past and liked the quality of the resort and its central location between kaanapali and kapalua. As it was just my wife and I we went for just a one bedroom on the 7th floor. The unit was on the south side which is the better of the two as the opposite side gets a lot of sun making the lanai pretty hot. The ocean view was great as always. The unit was set up in standard fashion. Very nice. A couple nits. The carpet had a roll in it. It appears the unit is being rented hard. Also the beach chairs need replacing as the straps are all torn. We also bought mats and left them because the unit didn't have those. But all the appliances and electronics were top shelf. And having Dukes downstairs is a godsend when you don't feel like heading anywhere. Last, just be forewarned that this is a very family heavy resort with lots of multi generation guests and a lot of kids. The property sets up great for this so it's to be expected. But if you are looking for a quiet little place, you may want to look elsewhere. If you are organizing a family get together, this is the place"
