  • What an experience!!

"This was our first time to Hawaii and we could not have picked a better spot. We had 11 people in our party (7 adults and 4 children from 1 to 9). Everyone had their own bedroom and everyone had their own bathroom. The property leads to an amazing beach that many people use, but the home is very protected with many plants so when you are on the patio you feel like you have the entire ocean to yourself. The dual kitchens and two living rooms made this feel very roomy and kept everyone from stepping all over each other. My favorite part was how the walls open to adjoin the inside and outside of the home. Thank you Holden and Shirley for an amazing experience and sharing your home with us. I hope to be back soon!!!"

  • Amazing Vacation in a Spectacular Setting

"It would be hard to imagine a more beautiful setting than Lahaina Animal Farm. When we started looking for accommodations for our family of 7 (which included my husband, myself, our two sons, daughter-in-law and 2 grand kids, ages 3 and 11 months) I was unsure if we'd find anything that would fit the bill. After spending hours on VRBO I came upon Lahaina Animal Farm which looked amazing and thought would be the perfect choice having 2 young children. After reading all the 5 star reviews we came to the conclusion that this was the place for us. When renting on line you are always taking a risk but in this case the property exceeded our expectations. Arriving at the farm after a long plane ride (not to mention Costco) we were blown away. The 360 degree view of the islands along with surrounding mountains was incredible. Although we ventured out to the various beaches during the day the best part was coming back to "our" farmhouse. They had just built an infinity pool a few months before our arrival and we spent many evenings floating in the pool watching whales and sunsets. The horses and farm animals were beautiful and everyone loved the morning ritual of feeding the horses. Teresa (the farm owner) and Chris were so accommodating and could not have been friendlier. On our 2nd day they brought us fresh eggs, papayas and honey from the farm and if there was anything we needed they were more than happy to oblige. We highly recommend Leoda's Kitchen and Pie Shop 5 minutes south on the highway, casual, great for take out and breakfasts. Our only regret is that we couldn't have stayed longer. Thanks Teresa for sharing your little slice of paradise with us!!"

  • Great House for exploring West Maui

"We just returned from a very enjoyable 10 nights at Pacific Paradise. The house was advertised correctly and it fully met our expectations. The house is within walkable distance of beaches however we chose to drive due to carrying beach gear etc, (you need to get their early to get the best public parking btw). Nicely appointed kitchen which was excellent for cooking family meals in, enjoy them by the pool in the warm evenings. Maybe could do with a couple of sharp knives but apart from that there is everything else you might need. Great selection of boogie Boards and snorkels which got plenty of use including the neat low rise beach chairs. Really high quality master bed/bath and a very comfortable bed. I don't think some of the other bedrooms have been updated as recently as the master but they are all just fine. The best feature was the outdoor shower with views of the pacific, really nice. We'd certainly return. Thanks Angelia."

  • Photos do not do this house justice. Wonderful house, perfect location, great host.

"A little background: There were so many rental options for us to choose from. However, most were advertised as "close to beach" or "minutes from the beach". We did not want to be minutes from the beach, we wanted to be on the beach. We wanted to be able to go into the water anytime. Wanted to be able to look out the back door and see the kids swimming. Wanted to see sunsets. Go to sleep listening to waves. When I saw the photos of this house, I knew this was the one. The house: When we arrived, we were not disappointed. The house is older with character and charm. However, it has been nicely updated with modern kitchen, bathrooms, and a well-functioning AC. Kitchen is well supplied (we cooked a few meals). Bedrooms are spacious with comfortable beds. The house has a large wrap-around deck with a good sized table for oceanfront dinners. The yard is nicely landscaped with photo-perfect palm trees (sunset photos), lots of lawn furniture and a comfy hammock. There is a hot tub, but we never used it. Location, location, location: The beach is a short 20 second walk out from back door. Downtown Lahaina is just minutes away. We walked to town most days, for dinners, coffees, and shopping. Ryan was friendly and allowed us to check in early. We had no problems with the house. Cons: There is a hostel on the same cul de sac. Sometimes the guests were a little loud (but never unruly). They did respect the quiet times. So never kept us up. Was not really a big deal. Summary: We loved the house. It was perfect. If we return to Lahaina, this is where we want to stay."
