  • Amazing view from this wonderful Condo

"My husband and I enjoyed a truly wonderful week on Maui and were so very pleased with this condo and complex. The condo (#206) is furnished with everything you need for a great stay, has comfortable beds, a great kitchen and living room, and an INCREDIBLE lanai with a gorgeous view of the ocean (and whales everywhere). The grounds are IMMACULATE and everything is clean and groomed. Turtles come to rest just below the sea wall, less than a one minute walk from the condo. The pool is warm, the other residents are quiet and friendly. There is a GREAT barbecue that, magically, is clean every morning, and is a fun place to meet other guests over a nice steak or fish sizzling on the grill. The office staff are very friendly and helpful. This stretch of shoreline seems to be the main highway for the whales in the winter months and our coffee time each morning was to the amazing displays of whales breaching and slapping out in the ocean (not super close, but with binoculars the show was spectacular). Great shopping nearby (for all those people who think they have to stock up at the Costco before leaving the airport area - there's a Safeway a few miles away from this condo that is great!) We will definitely return to this beautiful getaway. It really was amazing and perfect for my 50th birthday celebration. Thank you!"

  • Everything about it was perfect!

"We spent 8 days at this unit with our 2 kids (ages 3 and 5), it is our second time at the Aston Maui Kaanapali Villas but last time we had a different unit. Let me start with saying how we love the laid back, family-friendly and crowd-free environment there, how everything is very well maintained and the staff is friendly and helpful while discreet. The swimming-pool is just one elevator trip away, and the beach right behind it: wake-up super early, watch the clouds light-up over Molokini with palm trees swaying in the breeze and all sorts of exotic birds singing, grab your swim-suit, grab a cup of complimentary breakfast drink on your way out, fresh towels at the counter and 2 minutes later you are in the water with sea turtles. Everything works great: A.C., hot water and water pressure in the big shower (mom or dad + 2 kids no problem), appliances, Wi-Fi... We cooked a lot of simple meals, we liked shopping at the Honokowai fish market and farmers market grocery store where they have fresh and organic produce. Now let me highlight the major perk that comes with this unit (unlike the previous one we stayed at). You actually have the status of a registered guest so you get house-keepers while you go out every day if you want to! With two kids, a lot of sand and no cleaning before check-out the last day (at noon), I think it was worth the extra money. Instead of cleaning-up on our last morning we went snorkeling..."

  • Wonderful stay in 252 at the Whaler!

"We just got home from a fabulous week in unit 252 at The Whaler condos on Kaanapali beach. We usually stay in the Napili area but with our kids being older now, (23 and 19) we wanted to be in a busier area for them! The Whaler property is just beautiful and beach front. Grounds are taken care of and we grilled fish on the new BBQ's one evening. More adults than children which was fine with us! Unit 252 is a corner unit and sits on the front of one of the 2 towers so as close to the beach as you can get! The double Lani is just huge and we spent lots of time out there with our binoculars finding dolphins and whales! The pool is below the opposite tower so not much noise from that lower area and surprisingly not much noise from The Hula Grill which is right next door, although you can not see it through shrubbery. Not a problem. The unit itself is LARGE and spacious with incredible views! The bedrooms are large with lots of closet space and drawers (loved the two queen beds in the second room) and beds were very comfortable. Two full bathrooms worked for our family of 4 and we loved that the kitchen looked over the spacious family room and views out of all the sliding glass doors! The unit had everything we needed and we did not want for much of anything. 3 beach chairs were provided but would have been nice to have one more chair and an umbrella. Both bathrooms are due for a major remodel as well as the kitchen. The white carpet made us a bit nervous and needs to be replaced. None of these issues affected our love of the unit and our enjoyment of being in it for a week. The owners were prompt to respond to my booking request and answered all my questions quickly! A very easy process! Was lovely to walk to all the nearby restaurants and the Whaler outdoor shopping center. We rented paddle boards from the beach shack on the property and could have grabbed snorkel gear or boogie boards too! Thank you John & Trisha for a wonderful week in this gem of a property and introducing us to the Whaler Condos! We can't wait to return!"
