  • Whales, rainbows, or turtles?

"As we are sitting on the lanai taking a break from the sun and reflecting on our visit so far, would it be a complaint to say the double rainbow that sprang up right in front of this place interfered with our view of the waves rolling in? Probably not. Aside from the multitude of double rainbows, another minor flaw about the Sands of Kahana beach is the sea turtles carelessly taking up good sun bathing spots on the beach. Rude. It would be nice to sleep in on vacation but the sound of the waves rolling in all day and all night make that impossible. Who wants to wake up to that?? Would we ever come back? We don't ever want to leave!! Good thing we have 6 more nights to enjoy this perfect place. We will be able to go to fleetwoods, miso phat sushi, see more rainbows, lay on the beach next to the turtles, and listen to the waves and try to figure out how we will ever be able to do this again. We will! Another outstanding musician we saw was Willie K. It was a performance of ukulele and guitar that I'm glad we happened upon but is worth seeing more than once. Thank you Judy!!!"

  • Great condo for a large family!

"We recently stayed in this condo in June 2016. We had 8 people in our party and it was perfect! Accommodations were spacious, clean and kitchen cookware/bakeware/untensils were well stocked. Close to everything on Kaanapali Beach - Whaler's Village, restaurants, beach, Black Rock all within a few steps - just to name a few. A couple of minor things: We were short on bath towels so the ladies had to use the pool towels for their hair towels. (No big deal though) There were no BBQ utensils in the unit. Fortunately, we were able to borrow some from a kind soul in a unit near the BBQ area. I reserved this unit nearly a year in advance and was in contact with the owner over the year. They were quick to respond and answered all of my questions before I arrived. We will definitely rent this unit again for a large group trip!"

  • This place was perfect!

"This cottage was perfect! After staying on the other side of the island for two weeks we were very happy to move to town. The cottage looked small from the outside but seemed spacious and very comfortable once inside. It was very clean and well maintained and decorated. We also appreciated that it was well equipped and even had a washer and dryer. The second bedroom has only a tub with a small shower attachment so we used the shower located off the master bedroom which also has access to the kitchen area. The back patio is perfect for morning coffee and evening cocktails. Thanks to the previous reviews we were careful not to lock ourselves out at the back door. The location of this cottage is ideal, we were less than a block from shopping and restaurants! The parking in front of the house was an added bonus and much appreciated. We used Uber a couple of times and found them to be quick and reasonably priced. Leah was easy to work with and provided quick responses to my questions. We are looking forward to staying here next year!"

  • Simply... Incredible!

"Wow! What an incredible condo and location! When we first arrived, our first impression was just plain awe. The condo was very clean, spacious, and well stocked with everything but the food! The view was spectacular and the location was perfect for what we were looking for. The private balcony and the large window in the master bedroom gave beautiful full-ocean views of Molokai and Lanai (not to mention the sea turtles every morning). And falling asleep to the sound of the ocean was simply heaven! This condo is just a short drive to Whaler's Village and Lahaina for the "touristy" shops and restaurants , but is situated far enough to make this small portion of the beach more secluded and relaxing! We took advantage of this perfect location and did a lot of snorkeling at various beaches close by (Black Rock, Honolua and Kapalua are all spectacular snorkeling locations). Our son also did some scuba dives (Molokini crater, Lahaina sunken-pier and Honolua) and we all had such a wonderful and full week of Maui-Magnificence! Again, this condo exceeded our expectations and the location, the views and the secluded beach below were even better than we had hoped. If anyone we know of is thinking of vacationing in Maui, this condo will definitely be our #1 recommendation!"
