  • Another wonderful stay at the perfect paradise getaway

"We have stayed at this unit at Honua Kai several times and always have an amazing time. Having stayed at numerous luxury resorts on all of the main Hawai'ian islands, we love this place the best above all others. I think three things really put this unit over the top: First, situated on the ground floor, it provides easy access just from the lanai to both the beach and the pools, which is awesome, especially if you have kids. And, having the beautifully landscaped lanai outside (instead of a just a balcony) makes for a much better "Hawai'i-feeling" and also gives good privacy. Second, being fully equipped with all kitchen tools and the like, it makes for budget-friendly meals. We also used the BBQ pits (again, just a <1 minute walk away) extensively as well. Third, the location is just about perfect. Quiet, with a gorgeous beach just outside, yet close to Lahaina or Whaler's Village. Having the grocery store very close, and Duke's (a great restaurant) just beyond the pool are just added boni. To address the construction issue: During our stay this time, work at the new Westin next door was just around its peak time. Still, while noise was noticeable outside, with the windows closed, it was barely audible indoors; all in all it almost didn't affect us at all. I'm expecting that when the Westin does open, there'll be some nice landscaping and the view and atmosphere will be even nicer than before."

  • Met All Our Expectations

"This well located condo served us well as we held our family reunion there. Each of the bedrooms were large and the bathrooms offered ample room. All the beds were comfortable to sleep in. Only the hide a bed proved to be a disappointment. The couple who slept on it found it uncomfortable. Probably a small child would have no issues. The kitchen was well stocked with everything one would need for basic cooking. The fridge was large and the stove easy to use. The best part was the view from the balcony. We spent most of our time while in the unit looking for whales on the water. We had fun trying to be the first to spot one breaching, blowing air or flapping their tails. The unit cam equipped with all the beach toys you will need. It was very quiet during the evening. The resort was well located to all that Kaanapali has to offer. I would say that it it's only minor flaw is the step down to the bathroom upstairs. Once you got used to it it was no big deal. I would suggest that you do not exceed 8 adults staying here. Christine was a joy to work with. The elevator right outside the unit made the 4th floor easy to get to."

  • Great and clean unit with all the amenities!

"This one bedroom has it all - very comfortable bed, modern kitchen, great A/C, and a great lanai (you can see turtles and whales!). The complex has nice BBQs to use as well as a comfortable (but oddly deep) pool to relax in. The beach is literally 20 feet below. However, you will probably want to walk a few minutes down toward Dukes for a better, calmer beach day. Not a problem at all and a shorter walk than if you were staying at a resort sharing the same beach! Parking was never a problem and entry to the unit was an ease! We will visit again. Thank you!"
