  • I want to go back!

"My family spent 3 nights in this beautiful condo and loved it! We booked last minute and ended up spending one night in a resort-owned unit before moving to this one and were thrilled to see all of the extra touches that the owners had put into their suite. My sons (ages 13 and 11) were especially thrilled with the boogie boards and we loved having the beach chairs, umbrella and cooler available as well. The owner was extremely responsive and friendly with every interaction and the on-site property manager was a great resource. The unit has a partial ocean view from the lanai, which was a wonderful place to enjoy coffee and a book in the morning. The beds (including the pull-out couch) were very comfortable, the kitchen was well-stocked with cooking utensils, etc. and bathroom was spa-worthy! Location-wise, the resort is perfectly situated. We really enjoyed all of the pools, and the beach in front of the resort was lovely. I can't wait to go back!"

  • Spectacular Oceanfront View Overlooking Lana'i

"I am writing this review sitting on the covered lanai literally fifteen feet from the edge of the ocean listening to the crashing of waves, SPECTACULAR!!! The bottom line: Would we stay in this townhouse again? Absolutely, in a heartbeat! The price while not exactly inexpensive is a pretty good "value", especially for Maui. The close location to Lahaina is also quite excellent. Several things other reviewers mentioned are somewhat true. The close proximity to the water is why I would not recommend for anyone with small children. I am an experienced ocean swimmer and entry into the ocean from the two access points is difficult and somewhat challenging due to the large rocks, many covered in algae or moss (don't even attempt without good surf shoes). However, this inconvenience is easily overcome by the close proximity to Puamana Beach Park which is less than 100 feet away (there is a gate you can use). Puamana Beach Park has a small but nice sandy beach to enter the water. There are usually a lot of surfers (especially the stand up paddle board surfers), so it seems a little safer if you are going for a swim or just want to frolic in the water (there are no county lifeguards like you find at some of the bigger Hawaii beaches). One other note worth mentioning. The townhouse is beautiful with the Hawaiian Koa wood and several Hawaiian quilts handmade by the townhouse owner and does have three upstairs bedrooms. The one bedroom facing the ocean with the lanai is spectacular and the other two bedrooms are smaller and being on the front side of the house are suspect to road noise from Hawaii hwy. 30. The noise can be alleviated by keeping the windows closed. This only works well if you don't mind sleeping with the bedroom door open and the people sleeping in the oceanfront bedroom do the same, thereby allowing a nice nighttime breeze and the most wonderful sound to sleep by: the sound of crashing waves. Again the overall rating is spectacular, Mahalo!"

  • Had a Wonderful romantic visit.

"Lahaina Shores is a great property in general. If you like to swim in the ocean it's right there. If you like fine dinning you'll find it within walking distance. Although our favorites restaurants are about a mile away , but still a doable walk before and after dinner. They are on the water and owned by the same proprietor , who knows what he 's doing when it come to great innovative dishes from many parts of Europe Middle East Mexicao, and South American dishes. He has three different style restaurants next to each other. He knows how to keep his staff happy and they are truly happy to work for him and serve you. The restaurant names are Mala, Honu, and Frieda's on front street . We have stayed at Lahaina Shores 4 times in the last year and a half and always have a great time. We love the ocean and love to surf swim snorkel and play tennis. All of these activities and much more are at your finger tips. The only suggestions I would make to to owners would be to have more dresser space and upgrades on the cooking utensils cutlery and Flatware, maybe a larger cooler and an ice maker( although I know those can be a nuisance t just to Keep them working properly). But all and all I would recommend it and stay there again. ,"
