  • Perfect hideaway

"Like being in the wild with turkeys gobbling & trotting about and call of the deer at night and early mornings - lovely."

  • Lovely stay

"Rose has paid attention to detail; the condo was a lovely, comfortable place to stay. It was clean and well-maintained. I particularly enjoyed the early mornings and evenings on the patio and the comfort of the bed and linens for sleeping. We enjoyed a nice breeze throughout our stay. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. The place was nicely decorated and had a peaceful ambiance. Rose did a great job of providing information on places to go and things to do. She also responded immediately when we needed her help with the wifi. Regarding the restaurants on the island, I would recommend The Cookhouse Restaurant for friendly service and good food. I would also stay away from the Molokai Hotel Restaurant. Apparently things have gone down hill. We found the restaurant to be poorly managed and the food mediocre at best. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to my friends and family. Thank you Rose."

  • Great Week On Moloka'i in this Condo

"We enjoyed this condo for a week Jan 2016. It was very comfortable for five of us. Two couples and an adult niece. It had most everything we needed. The knives were the best and sharpest we have ever had in a condo in 15 years of traveling. There were a lot of toys and beach stuff in the closets. One of the best stocked kitchens. the beds were comfortable. Not a lot of drawer space in the second bedroom, but we made it work. Nice new TV's, we would have preferred having cable available in the bedroom, but survived. It was nice having a computer to look up stuff and having WiFi was great. Like others we went for just relaxing, but seemed to spend time checking out the island, which has a lot of nothing to do, but we were busy for a week. The condo and complex was great, people were friendly and had great suggestions. The Island is laid back and great for relaxing. We all said we would go back, the lack of shopping and high dollar restaurants was a worry but most of us didn't really miss them. Minor inconvenience with the hours of the office, not open on Saturday or Sunday for check in, but really only needed the Pool code, which we found out later we probably could have called the manager and gotten a code to use. Also getting in Saturday evening didn't have much option for Sunday morning breakfast food, but we got coffee and some things at a little store. We didn't lose weight. the turkeys were a good alarm clock. the walk to the beach was easy and the waves crashing were fun to listen too in the condo. The people of Moloka'i were wonderful! The condo was great Thanks!"

  • Wonderful Stay in Molokai East End

"My family have just returned from Molokai. What a magical place! We had a great time swimming just steps away from this comfortable rental house. My two kids (age 10 and 11) enjoyed playing on the beach, floating on tubes and swimming. The island of Molokai is beautiful and its people most welcoming. Joann, the property manager, stopped by to answer any questions we had and invited us to visit their beautiful family farm. The kids had a great time feeding the pigs, rabbits, guinea pigs and chickens. They also milked mama goat and played with the baby goat. We were able to visit with a baby fawn too, which has been recently been rescued. We left with a plate of home baked cookies. Thank you, JoAnn, for the wonderful memories! My kids still talk about visiting with you and meeting the animals. As suggested by Peter, we called Kohl looking to buy some fresh fish. Kohl not only delivered two local fishes but did not charged us for it. We were humbled by the kindness and attention we received from the people in Molokai. Thank you, Kohl! We barbecued the fish and it was delicious. We also contacted Walter to take us to the Pali coast, another suggestion from Peter. Walter was very attentive and even stopped by the house to let us know details about the boat trip, weather and the surf. We were surprised to see Walter at the front door as we were getting ready to meet him Halawa for the boat trip. But that's the nature of the people in Molokai. They are truly one of a kind! We have the most fond memories of our stay in Molokai. Thank you, Peter, for sharing your Ohana with us. We felt the Hawaiian spirit in everyone we met in Molokai. If you are looking for a place to relax at a great beach front location, this is the home for you. The East End of Molokai is gorgeous and very green. Just a few minutes by car to Halawa you can see the gorgeous mountains and the waterfalls. There is also a nice little store not too far from the house, if you are looking to get some basic necessities. The town of Kaunakakai is a about 40 minutes from the house and it is very cute with small town charm. There are couple of grocery stores, a wine store, a bakery and a few family owned restaurants. We specially enjoyed the pizza place (Molokai Pizza Cafe), which also serves some local Hawaiian fare. Whatever you do in Molokai, do not miss the hot bread at Kanemitsu Bakery served only after 7:30 pm. Get the "works" - it is delicious! We loved Molokai and will return soon. Mahalo!"
