  • Breath taking view and ocean breezes .

"The location was absolutely perfect . Oceanfront beautiful patio waves wind and surf all day . I highly recommend bringing mosquito repellent . Due to the weather here things fall apart . Even though the screen door was closed we cut quite a few mosquitoes . The kitchen was beautifully supply with top of the line cutlery pots and pants . It was a little surprising at first to see that all the surrounding buildings are completely abandon . I got off with that initial shock and enjoyed the solitude . We will be back ."

  • Sad but Wonderful. Lots of history.

"The location was excellent; an old high end resort that didn't make it, yet renovated so we middle class folks could enjoy a vacation spot that in its prime, we could have never been able to afford. The studio suite was perfect although we spent little time there; a great base to explore a beautiful little island away from it all yet front row seats for the best sunset view each night, listening to the sun sizzle as it sinks into the western horizon. The hosts were terrific; always there to help and guide yet never too close. They pretty much left us alone to enjoy and discover the experience. The vehicle included with the accommodation was a bonus; probably slightly less expensive than renting a vehicle on this fairly undeveloped island, without the muss and fuss and paper work. On the critique side; just minor if at all: after hours on Molokai is even slower than during the day even though you can find some fun activity at the bar in the town of something-or-another in Molokai so, yes, it would have been nice to have a little better TV viewing than the basics; maybe to watch the odd sports game or normal TV program but none of them were available. Andy Griffith was fun but you can only watch so many episodes then you go to sleep early. Molokai is a magical island with history that I remember leaning about in school when I was a kid and that was a long time ago. The Mule ride down to Kalaupapa was a highlight. Geocaching also carried us to to sites on the island that we would probably not experience otherwise. Check it out. We'll be back. A paradise indeed. Thanks Pat and Rich. Bob and Cindy"
