  • Lovely!

"Excellent communication! This is a ground floor unit, walk out into the plush grass by the shore ... beautiful views from the lanai ... steps to the warm pool which felt great at the end of a day of exploring. Very convenient to Kaunakakai; while a drive to the west end beaches, I suspect much cooler in general this time of year. No a/c but good fans and cross breeze. Kitchen well equipped and grills looked nice although we didn't use them. Just a reminder to people travelling to Moloka'i: you are going to a remote, laid back island so plan accordingly. You can't sponteously drop down to Kalaupapa or always count on the availablility of a rental car. Make certain you arrange those things ahead of time and you will have a wonderful trip. Truly the"Friendly Isle" with a rustic feel. Looking forward to escaping here again...Thanks Dixie!!"

  • Beautiful Hale Papapa

"Molokai has been on my husband's bucket list, so for his upcoming birthday the family decided to fulfill his wish. The location of the property was quiet, secluded and had a gorgeous view. The house fit our 6 adults, 2 children and a toddler perfectly. Property is well maintained and the kitchen had everything you could possibly need and a very nice washer/dryer. The caretakers live on the property and were extremely helpful, including stocking the frig etc for items we requested till we got to the store the following day of our arrival. The only negatives - power went out just as we arrived (apparently happens frequently) so had to scrounge up dull flashlights and use cellphones flashlights to get settled. Made a suggestion to owner for battery operated lanterns and better flashlights and he has already ordered them. Thanks Doug! The insect life is quite active and we had to battle ants (what they see in a microfiber turbie twist is beyond me) and moths the size of our hands. Would have loved AC as it got quite humid, but the pool made up for it. The owner, property manager and caretakers were quick to respond to any questions or needs. All in all, Hale Papapa is a beautiful piece of property and would love to return again. Aloha"

  • Lovely stay

"Rose has paid attention to detail; the condo was a lovely, comfortable place to stay. It was clean and well-maintained. I particularly enjoyed the early mornings and evenings on the patio and the comfort of the bed and linens for sleeping. We enjoyed a nice breeze throughout our stay. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. The place was nicely decorated and had a peaceful ambiance. Rose did a great job of providing information on places to go and things to do. She also responded immediately when we needed her help with the wifi. Regarding the restaurants on the island, I would recommend The Cookhouse Restaurant for friendly service and good food. I would also stay away from the Molokai Hotel Restaurant. Apparently things have gone down hill. We found the restaurant to be poorly managed and the food mediocre at best. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to my friends and family. Thank you Rose."

  • Beautiful unit

"This area is remote with isolated beaches a place to relax. The unit is superbly appointed and the kitchen is unbelievable...it has EVERYTHING . 2 gorgeous bedrooms and massive lanai with unobstructed views. Grounds are well maintained. On the last day I discovered a whole network of trails behind the property perfect for jogging. Maybe next time. Thanks Chad."
