  • Absloute loved it, hated leaving it!

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! As pointed out by others, the apartment is SMALL. My wife and I stayed for nine days and had a friend with us for 7. We had planned on going to some kind of big events, so we had lots of clothes and lots of luggage. At the time the weather forecast was for quite a lot of rain for the entire time we were there, so when I first got there I had a little bit of anxiety about how 3 adults were going to be able to live in such small conditions without getting on each others nerves. Turns out everything was just fine! It only rained a few days and even when it did it was still warm and and the patio cover kept the lanai dry. The bay is VERY shallow! You can walk out 1/3 to 1/2 a mile at high tide and it never gets more than thigh deep. The water is clear and the kayaks and SUP Boards were great! As stated the interior if the apartment is pretty small, but it accommodated three adults quite comfortable. The only complaints I really had were that there is no AC in the unit in general and the week we were there there was an utter lack of wind and humidity in the high 80s to 90s so the only place to escape was the small bedrooms which had little room conditioners in them. My other issue is that I hate living out of a suitcase. I like to unpack when I go on vacation. The bedrooms have closets and night stands with small drawers, but no dressers. This is more of a personal idiosyncrasy on my part than an actual criticism and would by no means preclude me form staying there again. The property owners were more than gracious, we pretty much had the entire back yard to ourselves. Ronny came out and joined us for a drink one evening and was very pleasant to talk to. The location is outside of busy Waikiki, but close enough that going to town was no big deal. There is a bus stop literally outside the gate making the use of public trans very convenient, although we really didn't think about it until the end of our trip. Costco (and its abundant wine section) and Safeway are less than three miles away so it is easy to stock up for your stay, and there is a 7-ll across the street for the little things. I would, (and already have) recommend this place to friends and family and would be enthusiastic to stay here again!"

  • Very Comfortable and Spacious

"We had a total of nine people staying here and we had no difficulty with sleeping arrangements and there was plenty of bathroom availability as well. We also rented the back Granny apartment and game room which was a bit hot during the day, but as we were in Hawaii we didn't spend too much time in doors during the day, and at night, with the windows open and the breeze blowing, it was perfectly comfortable. All at a very reasonable price too."

  • Perfect Oahu location, great value, wonderful owner

"This apartment exceeded our expectations in every way. Lucille is a great owner and did a fine job communicating all the details we needed to know about parking, access, etc. The grounds are manicured, and the beachfront just steps away is amazing. We were going to spend more time sightseeing while there, but couldn't pull away from simply relaxing and playing at what was almost our own private beach. If you get too warm sitting on the sand, there's a lawn area with huge shade trees just above the sand, and it's cool and relaxing there. We did many meals at the condo and at the charcoal barbecue by the beach. Everything we needed to prepare meals was there, just bring your food and you're good to go. Tip: the guest bedroom on the street side has very firm twin beds, less air flow, and some street noise, while the queen bedroom has a great bed, is very quiet and comfy with its own lanai, and has a bit of an ocean view. So if you're two couples sharing the condo, you may want to consider (even financially) ahead of time who will get the 'better' accommodations and cost-share accordingly. All in all, excellent value, and we'll probably be back for more great vacations. Thank you Lucille for everything!"

  • Quality Condo

"My wife and two daughters (11 and 13 yrs) stayed in Barbara and Frank's condo for 12 days. It was clean, and comfortable, and certainly a more functional layout than the alternate option of a hotel room with two beds. The queen sofa bed was comfortable, and easily folded away to provide more living area during the daytime. The kitchen was fully appointed, and nearby stores allowed us to stock up on anything. The coffee shop downstairs was great, with Australian style flat whites. Parking for a rental car was $1 per/hr at marina immediately behind ilikai. Also 6 hr day time free parking nearby). Plenty of storage space for clothes, suitcases. No hesitation in recommending the condo."
