  • Just Perfect!

"We were on Oahu to visit family in the Navy. We are not Honolulu types who wanted a high rise hotel but prefer living more like a local. This little slice of heaven on the quiet side of the island was perfect! The family was only 25 minutes away and often joined us for cocktails by the lovely pool. The unit had everything we needed and Sally was a gracious hostess. The surrounding beaches were beautiful and several great restaurant nearby. If you want to enjoy the serenity of the island and skip the crazy tourists in Honolulu, stay here."

  • What a wonderful view!!!

"The view from Lanikai Hillside Cottage is breathtaking! Photos cannot justify what it can offer. Waking up looking at the beautiful ocean. The beach is only a few minutes walk. Talking a walk alone the beach early morning and evening is just lovely. The cottage is comfortable and the beds are super comfortable. Thank you for letting us stay."

  • Amazing Place...Amazing People!

"If you are planning to stay on this end of the island...THIS is where you want to spend your time! First off, the location is perfect. Situated directly across the road from beautiful Waimanalo Beach (I would just throw on my swim suit, walk to the beach barefoot, take a dip and come back and shower off in my own private outdoor shower), about a half mile from a great local co-op store that has fresh local, organic produce AND the most fabulous Ahi Poke on the island, only 10 minutes from both Kailua and Hawaii Kai - with all the shopping amenities you could ask for - yet you remain in a small local community that feels mellow, homey and friendly. Next, the cottage itself and the surrounding property are as described if not better. The cozy, bright and cheery cottage immediately felt like home when I walked in. It contains every imaginable amenity you need, plenty of closet and dresser space, fully equipped kitchen, loads of towels and blankets, etc. Then outside there is this wonderful gazebo, complete with comfy couches and lounging chairs. I had this all to myself and spent a LOT of time out there. From there I could see the towering cliffs during the day and the stars by night. Truly a little slice of paradise. Last, but surely not least, the hosts Rose and Koa are unbelievable gracious and sweet people. They not only responded to every little question I had immediately and completely, but went out of their way to make me feel at home and like one of the family. But...they didn't encroach on my space. Chatting with them is a pleasure, and being long time local residents they know everything there is to know about the island. Okay...enough said. Can you tell I loved it here? :-) If you choose to stay here you won't be disappointed."

  • Very clean, stocked & homey

"There were 3 couples staying here: my husband and me, my son and his new wife, and my mom and her husband. This place is roomier than it looks so we were never "stepping over" each other. The air conditioning (with remotes) in each room was a real bonus. All six of us would highly recommend this home away from home. Mahalo from The Padgetts, The Wilsons and The Hayes!"
