  • Very nice home, very comfortable

"I was quite nervous prior to getting there since this was our first VRBO stay, ever. Still, Kiana had made the effort and had sent out a couple of communications a few weeks prior to our arrival and also a couple days before, asking us when our flight would be arriving, etc. I was also worried that house would be close to a highway and about noise, etc. All these fears were unfounded; Kiana made sure she was there when we were arriving and showed us the house which was bigger than I expected and extremely tidy and comfortable. Super clean, had all the advertised amenities. Even the small balcony was understated in the property description; it is big enough to sit whenever you want to, especially in the morning to drink your coffee and look at the mountain shrouded in fog. Absolutely no noise despite the proximity to highway 61. The neighborhood is super quiet, at night there is a constant breeze coming from the ocean; we slept with the windows open and never felt we had to use the air conditioning despite being there in August, arguably the hottest and most humid month for Hawaii. Kitchen was well equipped, bathrooms had plenty of very clean towels. It was like our own home. Kiana provided all sorts of beach items such as boogie boards, goggle, beach chairs, a beach umbrella. Nothing was missing. The Kailua beach is a short 7-10 minute ride by car. You can also walk into town, if you want to and if you do not mind a 20-minute walk. Plenty of small restaurants to dine in, a Whole Foods is nearby but beware it is 2x as expensive as Whole Foods in the mainland. Overall, a nice house to stay, quiet area and a great base to use for your daily excursions to wherever you go. I will definitely look for Kiana's house if we come back to Oah'u."

  • NICE

"This was our second stay at the Pineapple Suite. It's a very nice, clean place. Refreshing pool in back yard. Friendly owners. Shopping, restaurants and beach close by. Highly recommend staying here."

  • Wonderful large studio just five minutes from the beach. Julianne was a pleasure to deal with.

"I cannot recommend a stay at Julianne's property in Kailua more highly. We had a fabulous two weeks and definitely plan to return in the future. The studio was just as great as we expected from the photos on VRBO, and the location was perfect - just a five minute walk from beautiful Kailua beach. Julianne was so helpful and friendly, such a pleasure to deal with. The whole experience was really enjoyable, from the booking process to the detailed directions we were sent before arrival, even to the efficient refund of our deposit at the end. The flat was clean and well presented. We had access to beach gear in the garage meaning we didn't need to bring our own or buy it there, and there were great recommendations on what to do on the island. Julianne and her family were very warm and friendly when we bumped into them but we had our privacy and felt our level of interaction was as much or as little as we wished. We thank her for a great holiday and wish them all the best."

  • Charming Cottage in a Peaceful Setting

"From the moment we walked into this place we felt right at home, or at least, like we had found our home away from home. The pastel colors are light and bright, and the overall décor of the cottage is simply beautiful. We could not have asked for a more peaceful setting, especially being so close to the beach. The canal is right out the back door and we had a lovely paddle in the kayak (provided by the owners) out to Kailua Beach. I had never been to the town of Kailua and it was absolutely delightful. It has a small town feel and there are some great places to eat or have coffee. Rhonda (the owner) was a great host/concierge always pointing us in the right direction and recommending the best places to go whenever we asked. This was a great choice for our honeymoon. We could not have asked for anything more."
