  • Perfect stay

"The king sized bed in the upper back studio is one of the most comfortable I've experienced. Each night, I could hear the ocean as I drifted off to sleep. This place has a 70s beach house vibe because that's exactly what it is but it's in great condition and offers everything you need for a relaxing vacation. Host Mary is friendly and extremely efficient and all my dealings with her before, during and after my stay were a breeze. Lanikai is a divine destination-the antithesis of noisy and crowded Waikiki. It was a great choice and I hope to return one day."

  • Comfortable, cheerful place; great location

"My mother, sister, brother and I recently took a family trip to Hawaii and, while in Oahu, wanted to be close to the beach but not in Honolulu proper. This condo was ideal! There was plenty of space for four adults and we never felt crowded. The two bedrooms (one with a double bed and one with two twins) were very comfy; the kitchen was well stocked with all the pots, pans, dishes, silverware, etc. needed (and lots of ice trays in the freezer which was great); and the bathroom was spacious and very clean (note that it does have only a shower and not a bathtub, which was just fine for us). And the owner was great. We received very clear instructions letting us know how to find the key, where to park (there's one off-street parking spot dedicated to the condo), etc. before arriving and then during our stay the fire alarm started to beep periodically due to a low battery. I sent an email and within five minutes Ron had come over and fixed it right it up. Kailua Beach is a short walk down the street and along the way you can stop off at Island Snow Hawaii for fabulous shave ice or the adorable Kalapawai Market for just about anything you need. The beach itself is beautiful and was one of our favorite beaches of the entire trip. And just a few minutes in the other direction from the condo is a big plaza with a Target, Whole Foods, Safeway, etc. and a ton of restaurants including a Teddy's Bigger Burgers which, yum. This is a great place and we all agree we'd stay here again in a heartbeat. My sister and I both travel frequently and have stayed in a wide variety of hotels/motels, VRBO/Airbnb places, etc. in both the US and Europe and this was right up there at the top. Highly recommended."

  • Beautiful, most relaxing vacation!!!!

"My husband and I had a wonderful time at the gust house. Very comfortable for two people, we traveled around the island, but we always looked forward to coming back to our little getaway house! Loved the pool, beautiful at night and the garden is stunning. Hopefully we can repeat our great vacation in the near future. No problem with geckos, Hawaii without geckos is like Texas without a steak:):)"
