  • The Perfect Vacation Rental

"I can't recommend this vacation rental highly enough. My husband and I stayed here for five nights in March 2017. The cottage has a single bedroom, a bathroom/kitchenette, and a private patio and yard. It comes with so many amenities --- fridge, microwave, toaster oven, hot plate, coffee pot, pots and pans, plates, bowls, mugs, silverware, cutting boards and a knife, washer and drier, boogie boards, beach chairs, beach and shower towels, wifi, and a hose to rinse off your feet when you come back from the beach. It really is private, too. The cottage is in the back of a larger house, and consequently, you feel very tucked away in your own private area. It's also super close to the beach; the beach is just across the road --- a two minute walk. My husband and I got up every morning and watched the sunrise on the beach, usually with coffee in hand. The town center of Kailua is only a few blocks away as well (a bit less than a mile --- we got around by foot and bike, no car), and has all sorts of fun little restaurants and places to shop. The icing on the cake was how kind and helpful Victoria was. She gave us lots of suggestions for how to have a good time in Kailua and was readily available by text whenever we had a question. We really hope we can come back to Kailua and stay here many more times in the future. Thank you so much, Victoria, for letting us stay at your beautiful and peaceful rental property!"

  • Cute.

"We're staycationing for 2 weeks here. Two adults and one dog. Had our own vehicle. All in all very cute & cozy. Pros: Liz has been very welcoming and available but not "too available". Very pleasant lady. The unit and yard are both bigger than they look in the pictures. No concerns at all with the dogs here and no concerns with our dog (so far as I know). Cons: We've been trying to keep the shower open to air but it has grown mold on the floor tiles. It got hotter than what we're used to on the other side of the island and did have to turn the AC on a few times. Cooking requires some creativity, only a microwave and hot plate. Not really a con, just something to prepare for."

  • Great find for R&R....

"We fell upon this location when I was looking for a B&B in Hawaii on the internet. We prefer the individual service and the comfort of home feeling, and wanted a quiet place to enjoy our stay. We stayed in the front bottom unit and it was exactly as shown. It was clean and comfortable. Mary was very kind and helpful in providing us with information about the area and the endless possibilities during our stay. The unit was just steps away from the beach where we saw the sunrise at 6:59 am coming up between the Mokulua islands. Other places close by include; Kalapawai Market is a 10 min walk through Kailua park. Great place for the small essentials, alcohol, small bites, fresh brewed coffee and other. Kailua Beach Adventures - just another 2 min down the street in a small plaza. Great place for bicycle rental, kayak rental, snorkeling etc...You have got to check them out! Kailua "downtown" - 20-25 min walk (15 mins by bicycle). All the shops and food stores a small town could have. Should check out the farmers markets around town and Manoa Chocolates. Kailua Beach - 5 min walk Pill boxes were a total of approx. 40 min on a general hiking trail to the top to view 360° of the ocean and the mountains Good Eats: Buzz's Steakhouse (across from Kailua Beach Park) - I have got to say that I am not a big fish eater, but I was blown away on the "Opah" fish steak. I had it done 'teriyaki' style. Kona's Kailua - A small joint but big on the pulled pork! Roy's Wakiki - I had the Grilled C.A.B Asian Style Barbeque Burger and my husband had the “Frying Dragon” off the Pupu Menu. Highly recommended ! If I could, I would just fly there to have it again. Top of Wakiki - a revolving restaurant 18 floors up, again with a 360° view while dining. It also has a nightclub and bar if you are into that sort of thing. If you want actual relaxation and not be on a time crunch, do it the Hawaiian way, stay in Lanikai."

  • AWESOME--GREAT COTTAGE, Wonderful Location

"We loved this cottage. It is even better than the listing suggests--spacious, clean, lovely neighborhood, well appointed, beautifully maintained. Tricia left us a welcome basket with a pineapple, bananas, papaya and some granola bars--Mahola Tricia. We highly recommend this cottage!!!"
