  • Great location for touring all of Oahu!

"Ideal location and cute cottage! Kailua was the perfect location for seeing all of the island on our seven day vacation. The cottage was home base for our daily excursions to different parts of the island. We were 30 minutes from Honolulu and within an hour could be just about anywhere on the island. Out of all the areas in Oahu, that we saw, Kailua was the best by far. The town had everything you would need, great beaches, great restaurants, shopping, and even a farmers markets. The cottage was clean, well kept and equipped with everything you need for your stay. It was a two minute walk to one of the top ten most beautiful beaches in the world! We really enjoyed having air conditioning in the cottage and the use of a washer/dryer. Tam and Rick were delightful host and helpful when we had any questions. When we return to Hawaii this is definitely where we will stay."

  • Lovely home, great location!

"This home was perfect for 10 of us staying in Kailua. The home has a wonderful layout with the way it opens up to the back patio and pool. And although it is right in the middle of the residential neighborhood, it feels more private because of the high fence that they have placed around the entire property. For the 4th of July, our location could not have been better. The Kailua town parade went by literally one house away from us, then the short walk down to the beach was right across from where the boat anchored to launch fireworks! Another 5 minute walk gets you to Kailua District park where we played tennis and basketball multiple times and just a few blocks further gets you right into town for restaurants and grocery stores. (All walkable even with our 6 and 8 year-olds.) The lack of air conditioning was fine even in mid-summer thanks to the ceiling fans in every room and the nearly constant breeze in that area. And when things got a little warm - we just hopped in the pool! Thanks for a great vacation!"

  • Fantastic Kailua Vacation Home

"I spent a week at the Ginger Hale Retreat. The house was fantastic and the beach - which is a few steps past the private, wonderful backyard - was fantastic. The house maximizes the beauty as the views are fantastic the entire length of the house with floor to ceiling windows. Everything is on one level - which was just fine for my wife and I in the master suite, and my two children and their significant others in the other two, large bedrooms. This house is absolutely perfect - fantastic kitchen with top end everything, a full open dining room, a "family room", really a great room, with ocean views. You can always hear the ocean. Steve met us and showed us everything we neded to know. He is a gentleman and reached out several times via email to make sure we were enjoying. The location is spectacular in that Kailua town is filled with great restaurants and if you desire Honalulu, it is literally less than 30 minutes away through gorgeous mountain roads."

  • Very quiet and convenient base for Oahu

"This a very comfy and well situated apartment in Kailua. The louvered windows meant we never needed to use AC and the fresh Hawaii air was wonderful. With H3 right there, you are 30min to 1 hour away from everything on the island. Food shopping and the beach are a mere stones throw away. Carol and John were fantastic hosts and responded very promptly to all requests. We cooked almost every night at home on the grill listening to the breezes blow and the birds going to sleep."
