  • Great Family Holiday

"Trying to organize a family holiday in Hawaii was a challenge with 6 adults with diverse interests. Plumeria Cottage in Kailua fit the bill perfectly and we could not have been more pleased. The location is perfect. Walking to fantastic beaches was easy, walking to town for a coffee and paper was very comfortable, easy hiking was accessible, and surfing for the adventurous in our group was excellent. The ambiance of a small town was very pleasant; we are not fans of crowded resorts. Plumeria cottage was the right size for our group - very clean and comfortable. The owners, Marj and Jim were excellent hosts, responsive to our needs and providing information about local resources. They were gracious and helpful. Altogether it was a wonderful place for our holiday. Susan"

  • Very nice place!

"We had a very pleasant stay. It is very clean. I was reading a lot of reviews from other studios saying that they found cockroaches and dirty. I was a bit scared. This is a SAFE place in terms of cleaning and it looks better than in the pictures. It is very private too. The studio has a lot of kitchen appliances. Tina is a very nice hostess. She was willing to help us with a lot of info we needed. We were pleasantly surprised that she has provided us with beach chairs, umbrella, beach towels and a cooler. She also has bikes for rent. There is also a shower outside in the pathway towards the studio for rinsing the sand out. For a studio located at 5 min walking distance from one of the most beautiful beaches in the world this is anybody’s best place to stay. We will definitely go back to this place."

  • April Rememberence Dave and Monica M.

"This review is long over do. Long's at Lanakai is something very special. Our young family spent Easter of 2014 gathering as part of a remembrance for our parents. Lanakai beach was a favorite spot for them. So much so they had a painting of the Mokoluas which hung in our kitchen at home to greet them every morning for coffee. They made many friends up and down the beach. If you are in search a place to decompress, a great home base, access to the number one beach in the country, and a kid freindly environment this is the place. Breath taking views, early morning canoes ,a private seawall frequented by crabs, fish and turtles make Long's at Lanikai the perfect retreat. Rick was an excellent host and always available if you needed him; although you rarely want for anything in "paradise". We long for the Mokoluas and ocean breezes and hope to return someday soon. Mahalo, David and Monica M."
