  • Cute, Clean Cottage in Lanikai

"My husband and I, our son and daughter-in-law, all stayed here following their wedding in Honolulu. The location to the beach was perfect, a quick block and a half walk to a beautiful beach. Their was everything we needed for the beach at the house, beach chairs, beach towels, umbrella, etc. Great location in general, nice walk or bike ride to stores, etc. Beautiful setting and yard. It was very warm while we were there and not much of the typical tradewinds, there are many fans in the house which helped a lot, but as a recommendation, perhaps owner would consider adding ceiling fans, and a little updating. Curtains or shades in the bedrooms would be a big improvement. Just simple things like that...... that being said, we would return and miss it already! It would be a great place for a young family, noticed there's even a stroller there. The washer and dryer were a nice convenience, and the home is very clean. Robyn was very helpful but not intrusive."

  • Loved our time at this place!

"I recently rented this place over New Years week. I had never been to Hawaii and didn't know how awesome the Lanikai beaches are. Our family stayed here including 3 adults and 3 kids ranging from 1-70 years old. This was the perfect size for our group. Place: This is actually 3 places, the caretaker, Patrick, lives downstairs and was very accommodating. He let our children play in the grass area which was part of his space. He was very responsive when we asked to borrow additional kitchen items. There is another place also downstairs that has a completely separate entrance and we never saw or heard the people staying there. The interior is all one level. The master looks out with a nice ocean view and is right off the living space. I wasn't sure what to expect since the pictures show what looks like a stairs but these are locked off. We are really glad it was one level given we had a baby. They left us a high chair, pack n' play, and some beach chairs/umbrellas which was really helpful. Location: Lanikai is great for walking. The beach was about a 10 minute walk (with a stroller and 2 young children). It is also great for exercise walks and hiking pill box, which has excellent views. The only downside was that because it was a super busy week there was massive traffic issues so bad that we couldn't get out of Lanikai on two nights. My husband talk to a cop in line to get out and estimated between 2-3 hours to get to the main road from the loop. We canceled our plans and grilled out instead. It ended up working out fine but had we had plans that we couldn't move it would have been a real bummer. I would definitely come back here and rent again. Owners were great and the people were very nice everywhere we went. Mahalo for sharing your home with us!"

  • Perfect stay

"The king sized bed in the upper back studio is one of the most comfortable I've experienced. Each night, I could hear the ocean as I drifted off to sleep. This place has a 70s beach house vibe because that's exactly what it is but it's in great condition and offers everything you need for a relaxing vacation. Host Mary is friendly and extremely efficient and all my dealings with her before, during and after my stay were a breeze. Lanikai is a divine destination-the antithesis of noisy and crowded Waikiki. It was a great choice and I hope to return one day."
