  • Bike to Kailua beach

"Surf Hale was in great location, 5 min walk to Kailua beach on Lanikai end. Cute old style beach studio with charming lani & garden in quiet neighborhood. Full fridge & stove, stocked with coffee & creamers. Great to have access to bikes & beach chairs. Carly & Jeff very helpful and easy to communicate with."

  • Magical Hale

"This cottage is a rare treasure in Lanikai. Built in the 1930s, it captures the" Old Hawaii" in one of the most beautiful parts of the island. All the comforts of home, but in paradise. My family of 4 (2 kids under 10yrs) stayed here for a month and it still didn't seem like a long enough visit! All the previous reviews describe the hale perfectly; fully equipped kitchen, large yard for the children to run around, outdoor areas to relax. But, it is impossible to describe the overall feeling of tranquility this cottage exudes. Thank you Doug and Jean for sharing this special home with us! We hope to be back next year."

  • Had a wonderful time

"We had a wonderful time in the 2 bed 2 bath unit. It had everything we needed and was a quick drive into town. It was a short walk between houses to get to the beach that was very uncrowded. Eva was out of town while we were there so we worked with her son, Herman. He was available if we had questions but for the most part we didn't see him. We had asked for a couple of special requests and they were able to accommodate us. We had access to all of the beach equipment that we needed. Thanks again for a wonderful time and a great place to stay."

  • Lynn's Cottage in Lanikai ! Oahu's best...

"While the island of Oahu is full of lodging choices, we narrowed down our base to Lanikai. What a wonderful place; away from Waikiki's buzz, yet a short drive to visit, as well as a short distance to the North Shore and all the great beaches and sights along both ways. And then we found a nice and cozy paradise within Lanikai at Lynn's cottage. It is as laid back as it is well furnished. Lynn and her family are the ideal hosts. Friendly, helpful and very respectful of your privacy at the same time. We used the bikes, the beach chairs, the towels, the coolers, and even had some of the delicious star fruit in season on their yard. We enjoyed the outside table so much that not only we would have breakfast there every morning but we would bring back take out instead of eating at the restaurant. The AC, shower pressure, kitchen and utensils all worked great. Overall, if you want a stay as close to the local experience, with all the convenience of your own beach house, Lynn's is the place to stay. Dirk, Michelle, Cash and Lynn... thank you so much for a wonderful stay. I want to go back soon !!"
