  • Perfect for our Family Reunion

"Leah's amazing beach front home looking directly out onto the iconic Mokulua Islands was perfect for our family reunion, with us travelling from both the US Mainland and Australia. The location is perfect- it is possible to launch the kayaks or yourself for swimming from the bottom of the garden-or walk 2 minutes up the road for easy sand access to the water. Sitting on the seats on the water's edge was idyllic at any time of day but particularly so at sunrise and sunset or when the moon is full. It is incredibly well equipped and the 3 bedrooms with their own bathroom and ample living space both inside and out meant that people could be together or have private time on their own. The vintage bathrooms are quirky and wonderful. Lanikai is a wonderful spot and Kailua up the road provides great shopping, eating and drinking opportunities , coffee included. It even has a real traditional bowling alley. The Whole Food Store is amazingly good. Leah is a most friendly, welcoming and accommodating host. This traditional Hawaiian house provides a very special and quite unique experience."

  • Lovely Compromise - Beauty and the Beach

"Lanikai is a lovely beach in general, but specifically for snorkeling. We were three 65 year old, quite active couples. The owners had this property for sale at the time, but held off any showings for the week we were there. Kim was very helpful with some of the problems we encountered such as needing lounge chairs and replacing cracked boogey boards. The property was clean and, as others have said, we found ourselves spending much of our time on the huge deck. If it were still on the market we would come back."

  • Nice Location - Quiet and peaceful

"Stayed there 2 nights - Owner has changed since our stay - Previous owner eas very nice - Quiet Location near wonderful beaches of Lanikai and Kailua - white sand and turquese water - Cottage is perfect for 2 people. we were 2 adults and 2 teens and this was a little small - We enjoyed the breakfast and dinner on the Lanai - Queen bed mattress would benefit of an upgrade as it was not so comfortable."

  • Nice home in a great location - great value!

"We really enjoyed the house! The layout was perfect for our group, including our 7 year old son. We didn't realize there was no AC (mainland issues) ;) when booking, but after a couple days, we got used to it, and there are plenty of fans to cool the house down. The cool waters of the small plunge pool was a nice way to cool down. This house has amazing views from the dining room and deck, where we watched the sun rise every morning. Jean was a lovely host and we would stay here again."
