  • Great quiet place

"It is a small bungalow detached from the house. It is a "true" one bedroom cottage not a studio. Great for mainlanders that come with jet-lag and are waking up at strange times. Clean will all necessary things in the bath and kitchen. Good wi-fi connection and speed. Owner is next door and was very friendly. We arrange with her son for kayak rental with no problem The bikes are good and it's an easy ride to the main beach. If we go there again, will definetly try to stay there."

  • BEAUTIFUL BREATHTAKING PROPERTY ----- PERFECT VACATION

"We are a family that spends four months a year in Hawaii. We have stayed in many homes over the years but never one as comfortable as Bob’s home. Absolutely stunning views and Bob is always available to answer questions about the best places to visit around the island, where to eat, etc We are thrilled that we found Bob’s home available this winter and look forward to making this our annual winter playground in Lanikai Hawaii."

  • Clean and close to the beach

"The home was very clean and had everything you would need for your stay. It was nice to have the washer and dryer there as well as all the kitchen applicances. There is a target within close driving distance that we used for groceries and several local restaurants in the closeby town of Kailua. There is no AC, which we knew based on the description, but that really is not an issue in hawaii as long as you have fans . The temperature at night is cool and breezy and the fans pull in the breeze. Box fans were provided and we slept very well. I would agree with the below review on some curtains perhaps. There are some iced out shades on the windows but we weren't sure how much it blocks out. There was some construction going on in the day on the roof next door so some curtains would have made it a bit more comfortable to change in the room. We visited both early beaches and they were beautiful and relaxing. We hiked the pillbox trail by the house which has amazing views of the area. Nalu health bar and cafe, Mahaloha burger, Cinnamon's for breakfast, all in Kailua were our favorite eats and reasonably priced. Calvin and Susie (if you have dogs), is a cute local store selling dog food, treats, and accessories including local stuff to take back home for your pets! We visited the DOle plantation and the Polynesian center which were both a great and fun experience. Must have pineapple ice cream at DOLE and eat at Pounders at the Polynesian center. Their fish was delish. There was a surfing competition on the north shore so we drove by and saw that for a bit. Incredible what these surfers can do! Our friend that came with us went to the north west coast to snorkel with the sharks with a conservation group and really enjoyed the educational experience. Pearl Harbor of course speaks for itself and is an important place to visit. Very historical and emotional, worth the early trip. We loved Oahu and enjoyed our stay. Would recommend and love to return someday!"

  • clean, cozy, and welcoming!

"After stressing so much trying to find the right place to stay for the holidays because I wanted to find a place that was good for my two kids and also my husband with his parents I finally got to relax- thanks to this vacation rental. The unit itself is designed as a plantation style home. Steps to Lanikai Beach made it easy to wake up and go for a morning swim and then be back at the unit to make and host a nice breakfast for the family. I was amazed to see how much was offered in the kitchen to make it feel as if it were your own home. Also, the amenities are what really striked me about this home! kayaks and surfboards and so much more, the kids loved it! but my wallet loved it more. Other tourist we saw when we paddled out to the mokuluas rented boats for $100 for the day! ouch! Lori who is the owner opened up all of her toys for my family and I to use included with just a 2 week stay whenever we wanted. I usually do not write reviews on websites but after this trip I just felt is necessary to share with you all. The price is right, the home is great, and the genuine services Lori provided for my family are unforgettable. We will be back next year! no stress looking for a place this time because we already know where we will be returning."
