  • Great place to stay and easily accessable to all

"My wife and I went with my 9 year old son and 4 year old Daughter. This place was everything as advertised and more. Rosina and her husband prepared everything about this place and didn't leave about a single detail. They were also such gracious hosts. The town of Waimanalo is very small and quiet, yet large enough to provide everything you need. Its close to Honolulu as well as some of the places we went to such as The North Shore, Polynesian cultural center, Pearl Harbor and other nearby beaches. On that note, the beach closest to the cottage was very beautiful and a great place for kids to play in. Can't wait to go back."

  • ***SUPER***

"I would rate my and my family's stay in this house as fabulous. The house is superb and incredibly equipped with all you need and more than that. Everything works perfectly, all very clean, and at 3 minutes walk from one of the most beautiful beaches in Ohau. Then there is Abe, and his very nice wife, both of them ready to meet all your needs. We were leaving at 4:00 AM to catch an early flight, and Abe woke up and came out to say goodbye!! Unforgettable.. Only flaw? We stayed only three days.. But we'll come back.. Thank you Abe"

  • We will be back

"Net, Net: we loved the house, we loved the location, we adored the beach, Jay and Barbara were great and we'll be back. Just make sure this is the location for you. My son and daughter-in-law live on island, but their place is too small for visitors, so we were looking for a place for 4 that's within easy driving distance of Honolulu where they work but away from most of the tourist stuff. They love the Waimanalo Beach area and we couldn't have lucked out better with Jay and Barbara's cottage. The size is great for 4 people. Its an easy, 3-5 minute walk to the beach with beach access right at the end of the block. The cottage is quiet, clean and well kept, a very workable kitchen, great shower, and an awesome lanai - bright and private. Jay and Barbara were great. House lit up and they were waiting for us when we arrived even though we arrived late in the evening and hours later than expected. They had breakfast foods laid out so we didn't need to worry about shopping. They were great landlords too. If we needed them, they were there and extremely happy to help, but otherwise we felt very much like the land was ours. This area is great for people who want to be away from the tourist areas,. Just be aware there's not much around aside from from a convenience store , a very small grocery store, and a couple of eateries most frequented by the locals, so be prepared to drive for groceries or to restaurants. The residential neighborhood is eclectic range of locals and retirement/vacation homes to some pretty shabby properties. Regardless the neighborhood was quiet, safe and the beach never had more than a couple of people on it as there's much easier access to the beach both day trippers a mile south and a couple of miles north."
