  • It was very good for our family of 8.

"Our family of 8 including our two grandkids had fun staying there. They have a huge yard with tether ball and slide, swing to play in. My son enjoyed the hottub that the owner was nice enough to prepare for us. So all we had to do was jump in. With a family of 8, having an outside hot shower was really a convenient thing to have. The house has one airconditioned room in the main bedroom that I gave to my son's family because my grandkid can't sleep if too hot. But the other rooms have ceiling fans that was really nice at night. The living room and dining room also had ceiling fans. There is also 2 single beds in the living room to use. We loved staying in one house and sharing food together, cook together and playing games together. The house had lots of games to play of which uno was my grandson's favorite. There were also lots of books the kids enjoyed reading and being read to. There's also a pingpong table outside in the yard that we didn't have time to use. We had too many other things we wanted to do. Also there was a container filled with snorkeling fins and masks. It was a little run down so we just rented some. If you are serious about snorkeling, its better to get your own. There's also lots of sand toys for the kids to play with at the beach and two beach mattress we took to the beach and used. The best feature of the house is that the most beautiful beach is about one minute away. We were begged by the kids every morning and afternoon to go to the beach to play. My grandson is almost 6 and granddaughter 4 and they loved playing with waves. They had so much fun at that beach. It's quiet because it's in the residential area and has silky white sand and beautiful scenery. Actually its much better sand than waikiki. They also have several grocery stores to run to and fast food stores around the neighborhood. We really enjoyed the place and would love to go back sometimes. The owners were very attentive and answered our request and questions promptly. The only negative thing was that when you book the place, there is no refund when you change your mind. I had to put in insurance just in case we couldn't make it. It's too much money to lose if you dont make it and with 8 people to coordinate with, anything can go wrong especially if the kids are young like ours, they can get a cold and not make it. Also there was a rooster that cried all night and day that bothered us until we got used to it. The owner says its a wild one."

  • Simply Perfect

"The owners are amazing! Bryce and Melissa were extremely helpful in helping us find the little treasures of Hawaii that the books don't tell you about- like the macadamia nut farm! The place itself is super cozy, comfy bed, great bathroom, and includes all the little necessaries of a high end hotel. No need for a kitchen because the tiki bar and grill are at your service. There is also a washer and dryer as needed. The property is about about a 45 second walk to one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, and being on the East side of the island allows for a more native experience. This property is perfect for any couple who doesn't plan on spending time in doors. And, with all the money you save from the great price, you can have that many more adventures! Sorry Bryce and Melissa- it took me five years to write this review. I still remember you guys breaking out the champagne when we told you we were expecting. Thanks for some serious lasting memories!"

  • A very relaxing week in Waimanalo

"This is a great location if you want to discover the windward, more quiet and scenic side of Oahu. Waimanalo Beach offers the Hawaiian experience the way locals live it. Just a few miles from Kailua or a 30 minute drive from Honolulu, you can still enjoy the larger cities while relaxing on one of the most beautiful beach in the world... without the crowds. As described, the apartment is comfortable, clean and spacious. Ideal for a small family or 2 couples. It is well furbished and we didn't miss anything. The host, Rena, is very welcoming and attentional. She is born on the island and she loves sharing valuable tips and recommendations. We felt like family, from the first minutes. I would definitely go back and recommend this property to friends and family."

  • Joe, Barb,Bob, Joyce

"We enjoyed our stay with Rena and Marshall. The location was great and very relaxing. Rena had all the amenities a person could think of for frolicking at the beach. Their home is very inviting and comfortable. We spent many evenings on the lanai discussing our days adventures. Rena's home is centrally located to many sightseeing areas and activities. You can get to anywhere on the island in under an hour. Rena was helpful in giving advice on various island activities and we would highly recommend this rental to anyone visiting Oahu."
